Slow to start with but now totally blown away

My first chance to play WoW.

At first I thought mnmn not that great.

Then hit 7th and things started to get good, now pushing on 14th and boy is this game amazing.

Game play gets better as you level (can do more stuff) and it seems so does the scenary (The Crossroads is so cool!).

Is it just me or do others have this impression?

Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

absolutely agree. Once you level a bit and get out of the first, and even second and third newbie zone it's even more awesome.

Just wait till you get to go into Ashenvale or any other contested territory (if you are on a PvP server) ... very exciting and every area looks different with so much detail.

Once in a while you may hear me  /yell Blizzard rocks!

And there I was, a few months back, saying that I could NEVER play a fantasy MMO where chars have pointed ears.

the only downside is the game appears larger than it is. Your travelling alot. Other than that the game is kickass :)

You guys know if additional servers will be put up for open beta?

Generally id like to get on a server where nobody else has been for 5-7 days :P. To test my skills and the economy etc :P.

I never actually had the feeling of Traveling when i was walking around on foot. Every couple of steps I took, I found myself in a new battle. Most of the time, I would set out on a quest having to travel a far ways. Then I would be distracted by a mob, then another, then another, and about half an hour later I would accidentally stumble upon the area I needed to be in to complete the quest.

No involuntary PvP. To PvP, you target the person and type /pvp, and they'll have to type /accept or /pvp to accept it. Or there might be a window that pops up, I don't know.

But I'm sure about the /pvp thing.

Yep great game for adventuring... I've been playing this game in beta since the start of summer and the only thing i could ask for is a better crafting system... (most likely will get flamed for this) image

the reason why so many mages in ST where high was because they could solo (high damg etc).

and teleport. Eliminates the travel time and later on (when you leave the barrens (orc side)) and go to desolace/avendale/stonetalon/hillsbrad/arathi/thousand needles.

Basically at my current lvl i have one or two quests for each of those areas. Each one is not geographically next to the other. So i have to go to the land i want to (usually fly using a rider). Then see if i can find a group for the elite quest i have... if not go to another area and repeat.

    Still good fun :).

For you ST guys id set ogrimmarr (or the allaince equivalent) as your hearthstone location asap. Its generally in the centre of journey places.

My brother came over the other day to see the game, he is like the biggest SOE fan ever.

He had a go, then later that day he applied for the stress test and is already addicted lol.

    Such a great game!
