i hate to get excited about a game that isnt even in alpha/beta yet but man i cant wait to play me some star trek online. common its star trek it has space battle away missions borg and a developer thats made online games before. true they might fail dismally but god i hope they hit a homerun ive got me a space game itch and ild love star trek online to scratch it!

I completely agree. I've tried EvE online, and I think they left out the most important part of the game: combat. EvE's combat is ridiculously boring and automated. STO seems so much more exciting to me from that perspective alone.
Agree, and unlike eve online i think shield will be used, in the video it looked like they reacted to fire, eve u watch lasers and missles pass right through your shields lol
