Hi

I tried CoH/CoV but the thing I didn't like about them was the fact that you didn't get to upgrade your character with armour/weapons and things like that. I didn't like the whole 'enhancements' thing. Basically I'm wondering whether this game is going to be using the 'ehancements' type thing or are we actually going to be able to get armour/weapons etc for our characters?

Thanks.

I don't know the answer to your question.

However, I definitely don't want another WoW-style item grind game.  I'd honestly unsub if I saw that players grinding raids were going to be ten times more powerful than me just because they went through the motions of doing a few hair-brained boss encounters twice a week.  I liked the fact that your power level in early CoX was about your build and how well you played.

You can upgrade your character in CoH/V, but not in the same fasion as every other vanilla MMO (or WoW clone), you CAN upgrade your attack damage and armor/defense through enhancement and set bonuses. If you want to stick to upgrading armor and weapons, you'll probably want to avoid this game and probably DCU too.

That's the one thing I really F'ing hate about raids in some games, not everyone has time including me to spend 4-8 hours on a raid. Those hardcore guys that spends 12 hours a day online gets the best gears, quite sad really.
