Damn you Turbine....

....for making such an addictive, polished and jaw dropping game.  After playing warhammer online since release, I realized I am no longer much into pvp (at least not every day). I want more of a pve experience that feels very deep in terms of lore, and damn Turbine you deliver.  So damn you for making such an awesome game, if my GPA drops I am blaming you....

Currently playing: LOTRO (Brandywine server)

Played: WoW, War

Bah. My bad, I didnt mean to turn this into a monster play rant. I was just really excited about playing a monster...

The PvE aspect in PvMP wont be changing, but in Book 7, the creeps are getting some pretty big buffs which should lessen the complaining of being greatly unbalanced compared to freeps. There have been some positive reviews to the upcoming changes... but we will see how it goes once Book 7 actually goes live...

Has anyone heard a date or even a month when turbine will release book 7?

I thought Monster play was greatly improved with the addition of the 2 classes, I love running around as a warg. What everyone wants is pvp that affects the world as a whole, and I can't think of too many games off the top of my head that do that well. (EVE is the only one I can think of and space isn't for everyone ) Anyways, My point is there aren't hardly any games with a decent population that do that, and LOTRO does ALOT of other things right. So i'm sticking with LOTRO till the Mythical Darkfall tanks, or just till SW:TOR. And like everyone else said, we can all hope Book 7 balances things out even more so.

    Playing: TESO
Played (Trials mostly): WoW, UO, EQ 1 & 2, DAOC, Final Fantasy XI, EVE, COV, Aion, Rift, Star Trek Online, GW 2, TSW, Final Fantasy ARR, Tera
    Waiting on:EQ Next

Well, just keep playing LOTRO and you'll see its warts. Lack of players (sever merge, please, Turbine!),  dull non-story quests (yay, kill more boars), endless walking, repetitive combat, and so forth.

R.I.P. City of Heroes and my 17 characters there

I certainly hope they won't merge my server with another one. That would be too crowded. As for the dull non-story quests, endless walking and repetitive combat... isn't that pretty much a trademark of MMOs by now? I could say the same about WoW, EQ2, VG et al.

I love it!   Warts and all.  It seems even more popular now since the Mines of Moria expansion, so I doubt that server merges are likely.

trencejeremy why dont you just leave LotrO forever please?

Everyone is complaining about the servers being too populated but still you want server merges? Just lol...

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

That's all true, but then he wouldn't be able to complain. I agree monster play is a bit on the weak side, but it's better than nothing. That said though, the "endgame" in LoTRO can be anything you want it to be since it actually has social aspects integrated into it, and is more about the game experience than simply grinding out loot. I've spent entire days doing nothing but fishing, collecting crap for my house, getting the loremaster fluff pets, and just enjoying myself. As the majority of the MMO community now couldn't give two shits about anything that doesn't have to do with A: Stats or B: Gear, I could see this being considered "boring", but I find that no fault of the game itself.

Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts.

I guess everyone playing is out of their right mind then.

About half of the servers are over populated now, and it’s a good thing.

It really is ok to realize a game isn’t for you, and to go find one that is you know.

U Must be on a Truelly small server that u think no one would complain about server size Our server is way to Pop and IMO they need to close it and everytime they let old playier come back 10-20 min waits to get on heck even when just every day ppl get on at off-time we can have a 1-3 min wait . Then theres the ? about having to share the same area when there is only 30 orc and u need to kill 15 and 5 partys waiting for them. But why would some one complain about OP servers ;-P And as for a great Lore game yes PvE one of the Best PvP Not so great But thats why they call it PvMP. But I'm a ToR person have been since the start so here's hoping they don't screw up or not to many idoits join on the server I pick.;-)

I'm on what many consider to be the lowest pop server in the game, and play at odd hours when most others don't and I'm finding plenty of people in the game.  Had no less than 15-20 other people doing quests with and around me in Evendim early this morning, and that's a very quiet non-played area compared to most of the ohters.  It's much busier in the evenings.  And if you get into Bree or the 21st hall there's an absolute ton of people around.  Low pop and server merges?  I don't think so.  I know Brandywine and some of the others are practically begging for people on their servers to move to others to lower the pop.

And those that only want end game content obviously missed the point of lotro- the journey there, wtih plenty to do even after you reach "max level".  If all you're after is maxing out your level and gear so you can raid or pvmp, then yeah, you're in the wrong game.  There's a huge world of content there, and some great storylines that you missed.
