POLL - 2/3rds of >720 testers think Darkfall is the best MMO around today
since the new troll thing to do is dredge up random polls from various places, here's another recent poll:
65% of over 720 beta testers think DF is the best MMO playable right now.
second highest is eve online with 11%, then 'other' at 10%, then WOW at 8.8%.

But, but Tasos has lied and there is no beta and they have fun in there without telling us and there is bugs in the beta and the animations are sucks and I shouldnt even be in this forum!!!

I hate to say it, but I worry thats par for course of all betas. Beta players do have a sense of privilage and have investment in ensuring the gaME IS A success. Also, a poll of 400 seems a bit small. I wager if we polled 400 viewers of this forum 60% will say DF is the worst game they ever played even though they never played it

lol so wait, this thread is ok, but the thread which said that 70% of beta testers say launch should be delayed is a troll post? when there was a poll posted showing most see the game as not ready and the highest % of people think it should be launched in april?
dude the poll is only 4 hours old. that's still nearly 2 votes per minute. i'll update it again later.
This is of course taken from the 10% of all MMORPG players who don't prefer WOW to everything else...
Not sure i like that it says of 400 beta testers, if only half of them bothered to take there poll thats not many testers!! still i have hope......

What is funny is going to be watching this thread, based on an actual existing poll from the beta forums, goes on in relation to the other one which is likely made up, or not posted towards beta testers.
Although if there was a real vote and I am just missing it I would vote to delay to Mar 15th for early access and Mar 25th for release just because it gives them the ability to keep rolling out these mega patches and not worry about what they break even if leakers will leak the breaks and trolls will eat it up...
Although I would have delayed 100% of all MMO's launching by at least 1-2 months. Gold plating you know. Never gonna be perfect.

umm no there was a poll from the beta forums asking when you think the game should launch, and the majority of posters said april or later. And how is a troll post of factualy information any different than someone who has 100+ posts and information?

i never said it wasn't a real poll. it was, i've seen it. didn't have that many votes though IIRC...

Is this your "objectivity" at work here? The game isn't released yet right? These people are clearly "judging the game" before release by calling it the best mmo around today right? Why aren't you riduculing these people like you do so brashly to the ones with negative opinions?

WTF is being derailed here, I'm talking about the results of this poll and how contrary to his previous claims he's clearly not being objective about people judging the game before it releases.
Sorry champ, but you're the only one derailing things for him so he never has to respond to any posts that point out his hypocrisy. Good job though.
Amen to that, brother. Though I hope they leave the 8 bit, oldschool sound effects for what they are for a little while. They remind me of Duke Nukem 3-D, hehe. A mild infraction on my immersion that is acceptable (for a few weeks). I do hope they will look into some of the animations asap, though.

If they hold to their Feb 25 schedule when exactly will shit change?
That’s 13 days… they might as well release tomorrow if they keep that 25th date because nothing major is going to change in 13 days.... just tweaks. Or are you hoping for a massive SOE style Everquest patch the day before launch?
And if by some act of God that happens shit does change as you say and it gets released in 13 days… guess what .. that shit wont be tested.

Erm, the poll is right but it`s not valid. You have to remember the testers are hardcore guilds like SUN, KoC-Blood and others from UO, Shadowbane, AC and longterm followers of Darkfall. The average Joe wont like Darkfall, you and me will.
It`s like asking a vegetarian if meat is good.

So in other words, you're coming off your "I'm pretending to be a reasonable, objective fan" high horse and joining the "respond to legitimate inquisitions with unrelated cliche internet insults" crowd.

When I was in the DDO closed beta, I loved the game 100%! I left the game after 3 months. When I was in Lotr closed beta, I loved the game and preordered. Didn't even play out the "free" month. I've been in other beta's but they didn't prove they deserved my money enough to be played after.
My point with DDO and Lotr is that if I had the same poll I would have been one of the 2/3rd to say it was the best game ever. Now however, I would have changed that answer and I now play DDO again. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

You're the rare breed of Darkfall fans who still uses their head.
If my memories serves me right, you're also the one who's objective enough to think that WoW's graphics in terms of artwork and animation are superior to that of Darkfall's.
Again, I think if just half of the Darkfall fans can be like you, there would be way less venom directed at the game by the "skeptic trolls".
This poll is not a offical poll, just a ordinary player made thread poll, There are like 100 new polls made everyday about diffrent things. Even tho 500 people have voted in it, it doesent reflect how many beta players there are in the game.
My estimates is that 45,000 beta players have been active on forum last 6 days meaning maybe there are as many as 50-60k beta players right now, these figures are based on the fact that Darkfall threads only register 1 view per account viewing it. If anyone has other information about how DFO handles the viewing count then please share it.
