Why I Resubbed

I had to replace my vid card, so WAR was out of the question for a time. Meanwhile, I resubbed to DAOC after two years as I wanted to see how it was faring.

Wow! I had forgotten how big a world it had and how diverse character development could be. And RvR is still very active on the higher pop servers. I think we have all been a bit spoiled with some of the simplicity of many later MMOs.

Another nice thing is being able to run the graphics full out maxxed with no hitching. Leveling is sure faster than when I used to play as well. It was too slow in the past.

I know many want the latest graphics and such, but unlike WAR, which has a constricted feel in the PVE areas, DAOC is wide open in both PVE and RvR.

If they did a major upgrade to the engine and publicized it properly, I'm betting it would get more subs than WAR.

I am probably gonna take a break form WAR and hang in DAOC for awhile.
