this game will look like Guildwars, where you follow a path almost all the time and get little chance to explore. One of the things i loved about SWG was the was sandboxidea, where I could run for a long time untill I was killed by some highlevlel.
I may be wrong, but I really hope that is not the case. Other than that, I belive this game with be breathtaking and will be my next MMO no matter what, since I'm a SW fan.

how do you know? the only thing we know in regards to the worlds is that we don't know anything of what there doing.
each planet could end up being like a TR zone but without the 7 instances for it. which is absolutly nothing like Guildwars.
we know its not gonna be a full open world like SWG, but there are plenty of other options to give players roaming freedom, which is what alot of people seemingly desire.
actually if you read the information about the game engine, it is actually made for large, seemless worlds.
Yep the Hero Engine (The one being used for TOR), is developed specificly for MMORPG's. They (Simutronics) built it with the idea of large, open, elaborate and detailed worlds on the top of their mind.
Please, please don't knock it till you try it. Also if you actually watched or read anything from http://www.swtor.com you would know that they are going to have exploration and side quests of that nature This is another factor into why Hype is so horrible.
Would you rather have:
(a) A bland, dead, boring gigantic planet
(b) A smaller, yet more vibrant and colorful planet
I heard TOR is gonna be heavy on instancing. It almost has to be to have all the "story" crap that their saying it's going to have. Doesn't sound like fun to me anymore

Story crap? For some of us that's the best thing about ToR. I am indifferent about the IP Star Wars but I love Bioware games. Bring on the story!
Not saying story is bad. Just saying how are they going to implement every avatars "unique" story without instancing everything. A new Star Wars game would be great, story would be great too. I'm not sure if I agree on the way they are implementing it. Sounds like the PVP is going to be staged as well.

I'm thinking it's gonna be sort of like WoW with AoC Tortage Night Quests. So it would sort of have a single-player mode, but only for your personal story and destiny quests. The rest of the time you will be out in the open world questing and PvPing and crafting and exploring.

Yes,they do talk about instancing. In thesamesentence they also state they will not make the whole game completely instanced though. They simply said that for some storyline-mechanics, some instancing is needed.
The crap that admriker has been posting about the game being completely instanced and like Guild Wars is either a lie by him, -or- the devs are lying through their teeth.
