Don´t let your selfs be fooled by smart slogans of companies...
The fact is you need a special key to be able to login the game at present.
That fact alone makes it Closed to public.
Because it is not in a development stage where huge changes occur it makes it Beta.
Conclusion: Closed Beta

Well... they've updated their front page with this piece of information now: www.pristontale2.com/news/103
So apparently the "full open" beta begins on the 14th of February.
