I started playing MMOs back in 2004 when MU online was a great game. I spent about 2 years playing MU in different private servers, about 8-12 hours a day. Our guild became the best in MU Fantastic but when hacks and cheats started to flow in, we decided to quit playing. After that I wondered off with playing WoW for6 months or so but never did actually liked it since its hack-and-slash with auto-attack that I think is to repetitive and dull. Currently though, I've been playing this new F2P MMORPG called Atlantica Online and it's very promising MMO since it's turn-based in battle, political aspect of the game allows you to govern towns and eventually form a country, and the in-game economy stimulates in-game supply and demand type with focus on crafting economy. I would usualy play about the same I did with MU online years ago, about 8-12 hours a day. So you can consider me addicted again to MMOs particularly Atlantica Online.

I used to play FFXI like 8 hours a day, which inevitably caused me to tire of the game. Now I play LotRO, but only maybe 10 hours a week, as I no longer have much time to game on the weekdays.
Playing - FFXIV, ESO
Played - FFXI, WoW, Lineage 2, Guild Wars, Aion, SWToR, LotRO, GW2, TERA, Rift, ArcheAge, TSW
I used to be an addict, we could say I started using at the tender age of 10.
Nexus was my weed, casual and not so harsh.
Then I step'd it up to UO, my Acid.
Followed by good ol' Evercrack.
And then finally Dark Age of Heroin claimed 6 years of my life.
Oh sure... I tried other drugs... There was Shadowmeth, and Eve Dust.
But always I went back to the Heroin... always.
However, lately i've been clean. It seems my harsh addiction has made all other MMOs seem like kiddy stuff.
Normally someone would say "Hey! This is a good thing, your clean now, the addiction doesn't control you life anymore!" But even though I'm clean.. I'm left craving and fiending for something I might never get again.
*sigh*
As of late Ive tried 2 F2P Games while waiting for Stargate, AIon, and GW2. Atlantica Online and RoM are only 2 I have tried so far. Like them both so far, so I will probably stick with them and until something P2p comes out that I like.
Good stuff.
Asheron's Call and DAoC were my two big addictions. I am realizing more and more tho, that it was the community (specifically a small group of online friends) in each game that took me to the zealot level. Both games are 1000x better than anything that has hit the shelves in the last few years, but it was definitly the people I played with that made it special.
Which FF Character Are You?
I have to ask...who pays for the food that you eat and the roof over your head- if you play games 8-12 hours a day?
I suppose there is enough time in a day to work 8 hours, sleep 8 hours and still get in 8 hours of gaming.
I use to skip classes to kill nature dragons and other shit in WoW. It was by far my worst "I'll not do other things in my life to play this game" stage, though gladly I'm out of that phase. Still do WoW and raid, but only log in 2 days a week and even then have hard time even wanting to do that.
Prior to WoW it was UO, AC, and text-based MUDs that I would play a lot of. Still had my single player games on ps2 and a few other computer games, but those 3 took up a lot of my younger years.

Started playing SWG in 2003. From a total noob, I ended up as a Guildleader and Major of a huge guild / city. Played it untill they ruined it with the NGE. God I still miss that old game.
Played EQ2 for 2-3 months, but never got the same feeling for it. And when they dumbed it down and made those scarecrows a shadow of themselves it was the end for me.
Started playing wow in early 2005 and have stayed. Love that game more than ever. Music, atmosphere, desigh, colors, races, skills, raids, achievements.. everything. Wow is my adiction and mmorpg love.
I have also bought and tried City of heroes (installed it and played it for a few hours). Guild wars (actually for a week ). Age of Conan (not my cup of tea), Lord of the rings online (probably a good game, but just did not catch my attention and I never felt a huge urge to log in and play it)
If SWG had returned in its pre-CU incarnation I would have played that side by side with Wow.
SWG was my first addiction. Some days I would wake up and play until I went to sleep. After that I got addicted to Guild Wars, and then WoW, but neither approached my addiction to SWG
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
