But all im saying is that in terms of makeing money and years of service well cox is second only to linage.

I'll give you that one, my friend has played it since it released.  He's not an avid MMOer, so I should say to him, what I'm going to say to you now...There are better MMOs out there    I personally think WoW was much more fun, and that's saying a lot because I loved Guild Wars compared to WoW, and despise Guild Wars now...So like, CoH is way down on the list.

And no, I'm not a bit touchy about these things, I'm just a loud-mouthed idiot who loves to read his own opinions. Honestly, whatever floats your boat, but I do hope the DC MMO will be a game that we can both agree on, my friend as well.

Definatly better games out there but it did give us a new mmo nitch. Which i am also hopeing to see some fruit come to bear. DC mmo looks hot as does Champs online either of which could put cox down like the ageing horse it is. It is however a sad day I need a new mmo so bad i am literlay going thru the mmo list here and playing each one. Been enjoying ACE Online planes are cool. Your a cool cat howeler i just didnt want you takeing my post the wrong way.

But this is all off topic and im am sorry to the orginal poster. Dark Fall is vaporware there all better

Saying an expansion for a game that you pay monthly for, is free...Is funny.  Add up all the money you've spent on CoH in the last five years you've played it (guessing)...Then multiply three times 50, then add another 20...That's how much I spent on Guild Wars and its three expansions (which I'm sure included more production time than CoH).

Paying monthly for a game's a scam, especially when you've to pay for expansions.  Regardless of the quality of the game, the amount of money the developer is raking in from its customers is astronomical.  But yeah, you've to pay to play quality games now...

Hopefully Darkfall won't be the empty shell that is CoH.  I've seen my friend play it MANY times...To call it an MMO is hilarious.  Especially when I continually ask him how many people are on his server and he usually answers in the hundreds.  Woah!  300 people?  That's like, one person for every map...Holy smokes, I feel the community.

    You Might be insane.

A free expansion is an expansion that you do not have to go and pay EXTRA cash for a key of some sort to be able to play the expansion. The monthly  fee dosen't change. WOTLK and BC are examples of expansions that are not free.

You do realise that Guildwars is made by arenanet, a team that jumped of from Blizzaerd and NC soft is only the publisher, right? The games don't share a single person as far as I know.

Same with Cryptic but now NC soft own CoX and take care of it because cryptic sold it in favour of champions.

Games really developed by NCsoft is Linage 1& 2 and Auto assault.

To the OP: Duh, you think?

Didn't know that one.  And I'm assuming that NCSoft is actually making Aion then, right?

Thanks for clearing it up for me, again.  I've read the above many times, it just never stuck because I always saw NCSoft's logo.

If the game was good, they wouldn't need to hide behind an NDA.  The only games that had an NDA this late all were con games to get initial box sales.

My thoughts exactly. Keeping their cards this close to their chest so close to release makes me think they know the negative impact a free trail will have on initial cash injection they need from pre orders to kick start the USA launch.

Just a minor correction here. Auto Assault was developed by NetDevil, not NCsoft. Again, NCsoft was simply the publisher of the game.

To understand how good NCsoft Korea is, you have to distinguish between the development they do over there and the development done by random companies they contract with in the west.  NCsoft Korea has made 3 games.  Lineage 1, Lineage 2, and Aion.  Every one of them is a massive blockbuster with sales beyond even WoW.   And thats why everyone is looking forward to Aion.  It has already proved itself.  The western release is thought to be 3 months from now.

It's been clear for some time that Aventurine don't want the games media getting a look at DF. It's pretty obvious why.

Its still in CB.  When it lifts, and either enters stress testing or the preorder thing, then reviews will begin.  I think it will lift before preorders start.

No it is not in Closed Beta.  It is in Open Beta.  Remember when the definition of Open Beta had to be re-established as any beta that includes at least one person who applied to test the game?  This is the Open Beta.  They said they did the stress test already using bots instead of players.

And if NDA isn't lifted before pre-orders start and/or the game is released... What would you do?

An NDA this close to release....

Oh my, where have I seen that before?

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

Exactly.  Read what Alandora said again.  If you can't figure something like this out, even after someone explains it so clearly, then you are in for a world of hurt in this life, broseph!  They say there's a sucker born every minute, so try not to be one of them.
