Darkfall marks the start of a new type of MMORPG

DrednaughtDrednaught Member Posts: 115

Yes folks prepare to play the first Minimum Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game.

Gasp in amazement as you run through endless worlds searching for the elusive OTHER player who paid for the pre-order.

Faint in terror as another goblin runs away from you.

Scream in terror as you realise that you are not dreaming, you actually did stump up the cash for this gameplay.

Cant wait for the 25th (not sure which month though) possibly the best car crash launch ever !!!!!

A new day in gaming is looming and boy is it gonna be awesome in more ways than one

Gaming since 1985 and still going strong.

What mobs?  Didn't you hear?  they had to turn off 'mobs' because they were competing with 'players' for spots on the server.

I hear there are goblin scouts that have their fingers crossed that they make it in the initial 'pre-order' group of players.

The really funny thing about this thread is that it's true, and that Taso's actually brags about having 10,000 concurrent players while games like WOW only have 3,000 (which isn't true anyway LOL).   Bragging about 10,000 while his entire beta consists of 1,500 who are not logged in at the same time AND he had to turn off 'mobs' in order to get the servers to work with that many.   Tell me again why he is bragging?

The goblin joke really made me laugh!
    lmao

The funniest thing about it is darkfall getting closer to an average MMORPG (not in quality, but in features) each step, and the fanboy base cheer up saying it's needed for better gameplay. Towers, universal banking, everything once bashed as carebear. I don't know if it's going to be really revolutionary as a game, but as far as i can see,it's revolutionary as a faith expression. Never seen anything like it in game community

    LOL

To darkfalls defence. If im correct they were planning on cutting down the Npc guards because they were competeing with "players" for spots on the server.

So they replaced them with towers of lightning.

    Bzzzzaaaaat bzzzzzaaaattt AAARRRGGGGG Bzzzaaaaaaaat.

Watching Fanbois drop their soap in a prison full of desperate men.

  • ThanosxpThanosxp Member UncommonPosts: 177

Another weird thing: Why they haven't changed this "city guard" issue before?
I mean, they had PROFESSIONAL BETA TESTERS,right? And they were using bots that replaced a good amount of players, right? For a game ready for release, more than any other game, isn't that kinda of a..er...fumble?
They lied about that (just kidding..Tasos coudn't lie) or hired Homer simpsons and Peter griffin as beta testers?
    =/

  • SpiroTrisSpiroTris Member Posts: 60

Oh man.. I'd take an alignment hit for killing homer simpsons any day..

A troll is a fearsome member of a race of creatures from Norse mythology. Originally more or less the Nordic equivalents of giants, although often smaller in size, the different depictions have come to range from the fiendish giants – similar to the ogres of England (also called Trolls at times, see Troller's Gill) – to a devious, more human-like folk of the wilderness, living underground in hills, caves or mounds. In the Faroe islands, Orkney and Shetland tales, trolls are called trows, adopted from the Norse language when these islands were settled by Vikings.

Dont be so narrow minded and assume trolls means what you think it means.

Also it's "your signature" not "you signature" and your punctuation is 1/10 at best.

More time attending school and less time gaming would serve you better in later life.

Gaming since 1985 and still going strong.

No quotation marks? Don't forget to cite your source, plagiarist !

Edit: Kidding, but "troll" gets thrown around here so often that people just automatically assume it means what they think it means. Don't blame them.

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
