MMO games played or tested: EQ, DAoC, Archlord, Auto Assault, CoH, CoV, EQ2, EVE, Guild Wars, Hellgate: London, Linneage II, LOTRO, MxO, Planetside, SWG, Sword of the New World, Tabula Rasa, Vanguard, WWIIOL, WOW, Age of Conan
The down side is it has over the top anime graphics, not that anime is inherently bad but I don't like the style, and I don't think you can get out of your airship.
We do need more steampunk games in general, doesn't seem to be a very popular genre.
Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit
It's unfortunate that there aren't more titles featuring steampunk or clockpunk elements. There is a great deal of room for creativity in those styles that tends to get passed over in favor of knights, dragons, elves, gnomes, and frightfully large amounts of forests.

I don't know of any good Steampunk games in development. Howver, if you like that genre here's some great Steampunk art from a 2009 Steampunk art contest:
Anarchy Online was influenced mainly be the DUNE series, or at least that's what the devs claimed. There's nothing steampunk about it. Everything in AO is future based technologically, not old world tech turned into futuristic.
An example of a largely ( not entirely ) steampunk game would be the Fallout series, originally adapted from G.U.R.P.S.. Weapons built from steel and pneumatics, steam powered tech ( hence the term "steam"punk ).
A total steampunk game would be something like Arcanum.

Forbidden Dawn was rumored to be a steampunk MMO in production, by indie developer Last Straw Games.
