Alright so I am ready to play the Open Beta which should be coming out bery soon. I have a question what class should I be? I have narrowed it down to an Druid or a Mage. I like the mage because he can sit back and nuke and be very powerfull, but very weak and might get very boring just sitting there nuking while others in my gruop are up in close battle. Then there is the Druid, i love the idea of shapeshifting, its great but one question of mine would be if i am in any of the creature forms do other creatures around me notice me or do they think that i am just a normal animal. I will end up playing both, but i want to start with one i realy want to be.
Druid or Mage????????????????????????????????????????????
If you could tell me what I should be with the reasons, and your opinions, it would be very appreciated.

You should be a druid, because druids can nuke, heal and fight. They're well rounded.
You should be a mage, because they have pets, and can nuke. They're tanks and nukers tied into one.

How do the mage get the pets?

I have played both classes and I like mage much much better. Mage's have such nice damage on spells and they can conjure water, so you never will have down time. Water replenishes mana if you did not know. Druids are fun in the begining, but they start becoming weaker in all of there abilities, they are a weak healer, nuker, tank. They are allowed to do pretty much anything, but they suck at each of them.

If I were in your position and narrowed it down to either one of those two classes then I'd have to pick druid. Solely for the point that mages are overplayed right now IMO. Seems everyone and their mom is a mage. Don't see too many druids around.
I first tried the Mage and I liked it. I than tried the Druid and I absolutely LOVE it. I am only lvl 14 with my druid, but I am not getting bored what so ever. I am sure I would like the Mage more too if I leveled her up more.
It really comes down to personal preference. Try them both out, Open Beta will be a good chance for that. That is what I have been doing. Next for me to test will be the Hunter.
Try the rogue Adora, very fast paced combat and alot of damage. I love my rogue, I just wish I could group more with him

Heya! Well, I cant tell you how fun it is to be a druid, but I can comment on how awesome it is to be a Mage.
Currently playing a lvl 14 Gnome Mage ( Gnome's make best mage btw ). I love playing this character. Up above, someone mentioned the Mage is overpowered? Not true. Powerfull, yes, but not overpowered. at any given level, I can only take on creatures that are my lvl ( sometimes! ) or below. I cant take on more than one creature at a time if its near the same lvl as me. Playing the Mage is extremely fun becaues you do get a lot of cool spells yes, you do get to hang in the back and constantly Nuke everything around you yes, but were fragile and thats what makes it fun!
I guess I will agree somewhat that at times, it can become boring to just sit back and do the same thing over and over again, but thats where the game is more fun ( quests, crafting, chatting, Role playing ) but yeah when its to the combat aspect of the Mage, it can get old, but this is early stage, and you are limited to a number of spells! Thats why, When I get somewhat bored ( playing for a day ) of constnatly nuking, I switch over to some Melee type class to I guess feed the urge of being up close and personal lol.
I would deffinitly try out the mage, You wont be dissapointed, and they become fun at lvl 4... really fun at lvl 10 and even more fun at lvl 14.. it just keeps getting better and better!

Rogues are the best class IMO!!
you shud not have a problem finding a party since rogues can kill spawns so fast!

If you're interested in being a rogue, then check this site out. PLEASE. It's essential that you know HOW to be a rogue. Takes some finesse.

Since OB will last a week or so, try all the classes and races. You might be surprised at what combo of class/race you'll like.
