Shows the complete server status for the entire world. And for being an off-peak time, 50k players is pretty good. I would say that support for what this game can deliver has dropped significantly, as such, Origins will probably never happen.
RvR is great for a while, but w/o any groups or people wanting to actually have fun with PvE, the game has degraded into just a PvP game. I do not see the population ever going back to the way it used to be, and I shall treasure my remaining memories I had of the game back when SI just came out. I have unsub'd and will seek another game that actually has a population.
Too many delays on Origins, lies about new things (rehashing dopplegangers, dragons and other things is not new content), and basically ignoring the community as a whole with baseless questions in the grab bag and never answering the real issues at hand of population building. I came back for a month to find the crux of most of the population is in the NF (which suck), Molvik, or inside the labrynth; thus no one out in the world. Too many expansions obviously hurt this game a bit too much, and it shows.

yeah... what ya gonna do.
The game's just not what it used to be. Back in the SI days everybody found something they liked in the game and could find people of like mind but now like you said it's all in the BG's or frontiers or the Lab...
I was thinking of resubing but since the Origins news as of late has been less then scarse I've decided to keep my money. I say just go play some single player games till another Mythic type studio comes along in a few years and does something ground breaking like what DAoC was in it's time and then make some new fond memories and ride it till it too fizzles out like DAoC. Sad shame really.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
Aw , I was really looking forward to Origins
This won't be good news for you, but that's actually a representation of their clusters and poor programming on mythics part.
This means 508 players on the cluster that includes (Nimue, Bors, Guinevere, Merlin, Palomides, Percival, Gawaine) This means that only 2,512 Players Worldwide. They probably have not fixed this due to how it may look world wide.
Thidranki = 50-100 Players a night, Molvik = 50-100 players a night, NF = 100-500 players a night. This would be the most populated servers average. (From me doing a /who)
Pendragon (Test) 8 players

I would blame these numbers on Mythic's inability to provide advertising and support for this game. They recently introduced Warhammer on Steam to pull from Steam's population, but they did not release DAoC on Steam. Mythic's attention to DAoC has significantly reduced and it is my impression they are hoping all DAoC players will go to Warhammer so they can close the gates on DAoC. They never addressed buffbots on Regular servers because of the double revenue they bring in. The results of this are sickening on these servers. My estimates above (50-100 players in Molvik) include about 30-40% buffbots. Some people even have 2 buffbots to ensure they have every buff possible in the game. Mythic has not addressed balancing issues in months and continue to drag the idea of Origins through the mud.
Mythic could easily pump new life into this game, but it almost feels as if developers have given up.
Gaming is serious business.
While I was on tonight, apparently people got around the buffbot issues on classic as well. Many times saw 4 or 5 toons all dressed alike, all named alike (ahmmmmed, bhmmmmed, etc.) and all following one person. Obviously a buffbot group. Sad to say, but it looks like the numbers on classic don't even amount to what it actually says.
Yeah, I love how they add up the numbers per server instead of admitting that the numbers for each server is actually the number the cluster as a whole. 47k toons my ass.
The estimates on BG populations is probably spot on. With another 50-100 in any of the major cities at any given time. The 2 expansions that are not free are a joke, to have yet another race (bunch of cows) and to have the exact same class for all three realms is still a kick in the ass for Mythic, and the class kind of sucks to boot.
I went ahead and bought an edition of WAR, will play that for awhile. It can't be as bad as AoC (which is collecting dust somewhere....).
Oh and as a perfect example of misrepresenting the numbers, the headline that Wizard 101 has 1 million registered users may be true, but the actual playing population is less than 25k. Lots of people signed up for the game, only to quit when the their pricing model sucked, chat system is too restrictive, no guilds, etc, the list goes on.
It seems more and more that Mythic has given up on DAoC, wouldn't be surprised if they shut their doors by the end of the year to concentrate on WAR.
Its tuesday night, 10pm est 3100+/- on.... more than 2 months ago at least.
Of which a good 25% are bots. So that 3100 is actually closer to 2500. And thats spread out among two TOA clusters and the Classic servers. If that was an even spread it would be 800 or so each, but that is never the case. Plenty of bots on the TOA servers and more than a few on the classic.
