Nov. 9th Countdown???

Ok. I have a question. I go to the eq2 website and I see their countdown. Now generally I wouldn't be so concerned with something so trivial but its quarter to 11 here in Indiana and the countdown on the site says 1 day 11 some odd hours... That would put me sometime around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. Anyone know why this is? Am I somehow just subscribed to some odd time zone on the website..?

Just because it's launching Nov. 9 doesn't mean it has to be one second after the stroke of midnight. :-)
Well yes of course but why 10 a.m.? Surely they didn't specify at what time on Tuesday stores were allowed to sell the game.
Edit: Maybe its when the servers go live???

This is pure speculation, but I would guess the servers would go live before then.
The game ships tomorrow, and some retailers will have it first thing Tuesday. I don't think they'd wait 'til the last minute to fire up the servers, just in case.
Thus, I would think the time on the website is just a generality.
The servers will be coming up tomorrow, on Monday the 8th. This is from Mooregard. Also, I imagine the time difference, is due to timezone issues. The timer will hit 0 at 12:00am US EST.
I was under the impression that they will be shiped tomorow and release on Tues the 9th.

Yeah, hopefully they come up Monday, I should be getting my copy then. My EB is sending people to the airport to pick it up instead of having it delivered the next day.
Damn now that is service!! The gamestop i go to has a bunch of morons that no nothing about games. God i hate that place but it's close =/....

I think they have it set for 10am because they are in coalition with Best Buy who seems to open at 10am... Pure speculation of course with no ground basis what-so-ever.. but I thought I'd post it.
Anyway, I think stores are going to think twice about letting people get the game earlier that 11/9 due to the recent Halo 2 debocle. Apparently some stores let the game go as early as this past weekend. Well, what happened was, some of the people who got the game logged into Microsofts Online Servers. Well, obviously these people shouldn't have been on there so Microsoft inquired to the users as to where they got their copies of the games and is now charging those stores who sold early $2,000 per copy of game that was sold early.
So, that being said, I don't think stores will be apt to letting games which have an online aspect to them go any time before the actual release.
