I think so, Blizzard sent me their newsletter saying that it would, so if all things go well, I'm sure it will start tomorrow (well today, but you know what I mean).
As in Monday. Tomorrow. Today.

I kind of doubt that open will start tomorrow (plz be wrong) because its seems this last patch opened a box of worms with unwanted bugs. for example armor not showing up. here That is a paly with over 4000 armor. skills and spells not working - druid growl, mages have no regents for their spells. etc.
I hope that they open the flood gates and deal with this but I am still holding my breath for open.
I really hope the OB starts today. I have an amd 64 3000+, fx 5900xt and only 256 mb of ram and just got around to ordering another 512 mb which should be here in about 3 days. Do you guys think ill be able to play WoW with only 256 mb of ram ... i dont mind play with low settings.
I honestly wouldn't expect it today until they get their act together over at blizzard. This patch opened up the floodgates of trouble.
And hunter talents aren't all that spectacular.

I don't think it really matters if there are bugs or not. That's why it's an open BETA. Anyhow, as others have pointed out, Blizzard stated that the open beta would ready by 11/8/04. If not people are going to get pretty bent out of shape. All those that didn't fall prey to the fileplanet scheme that is.

Huh, i think i know the answer, but i am not sure (hey, this is monday, my brain is still asleep!)
When Open Beta comes up, should we need to download another 2 gazillion giga file from our friends in Fileplanet, or should we be able to continue playing from the StressTest version, updated by a patch? Hmm?
If you are playing the CURRENT stress test version (i.e. Stress Test 2), then you will not need to download another version. I read this in a blue post on the WoW forums, but I don't have a link for it at the moment.

Hmm. Unless the servers crash, or they stay down, or my wife takes me out, or my house is robbed, or i'm abducted by aliens, or my mother in law comes for diner (i think that's the worst)or... OK i stop
overall this patch took the game decidedly to the worse.
WOW forums are broke so no one has posted there in hours. Even so you can see from the reactions that this last patch while putting the finishing touchers where needed (zones/quests/hunter-pally talents)
They also incorporated a lot of other things that are hugely unpopular and just seem ill-concieved.
That may be the case, but this is the whole point of beta, right? I have read the WoW forums, and it's obvious that people aren't happy. Some are just whiners who think that by throwing a tantrum they'll get their way. However, there are some posts that contain genuine constructive criticism. Blizzard reads this stuff, and they'll make decisions accordingly.

Evil UO has doomed my poor soul and now I'm wandering restlessly through all MMORPG's, desperately searching for a place to rest in peace.....
No doubt! But this is Blizzard, and they love torturing us. Since they have said it would be today, their suspense filled torture is nearing its end. I'm sure it will be sometime SOON today.
But in Blizzard-speak, that may be at 11:59:59pm.

damn beta, have been awake for like 25 houres.
And i 'm so sure that if i dare to go to sleep subscriptions will go open.
and after 30 min all spots filled or after 5 minutes site down due to traffic load.

They we be fools if they launch Open Beta after this last horrible patch... I just cant ell you enough how bad this patch is for the people not playing right now... All I can say is that I went from enjoying a very fun great game all this week to logging out in fustration due to the horrible dealth penalty you get now which is multiplied by 50 if someone or something is camping your body...
This game is a money and time sink now... WTF was blizzard thinking??11? this game is no longer half as fun as it used to be... But dont believe me log in, you will see. PVP is going to make you go broke and mad.

Woot ryzoms free trial is up. At some companies take it seriously when they say they are starting XYZ on nov 8. Downloading it now
. If blizzard doesnt hurry up i might just have to pass on OB and wait for the reviews of the game to decide wheather to buy it or not. See you guys in attis.
