Thinking of coming back

When LotR came out I was still playing WoW and i didn't want to leave it because of my friends who were still playing. That had change , so when WAR came out.

I had high hopes for this game, but its slowly becoming a game i cannot stand, because of "balancing" issues and the over powering of the other side. The PvE content wasn't enough and the Crafting wasn't fun.

When LotR came out I did buy it and played it for awhile, but couldn't focus on playing it alot because of WoW. But the time I did play it, I enjoyed it. Only thing that I disliked about the game was the amount of players, but I've heard it increased since expansion.

Reactivated my account and I Downloading the game right now (I lost my CD1, but still have the CD2 of it). So i can't wait to get in game again.

Anyways, just wanted some tips  like :

  • What is a good soloable class I can play, but later on be a good class for groups.

  • What crafting skill is  the most useful with said class.

  • What server to play on.

Thanks in advance.

    I figure I'll play a Warden.

Not sure what server yet. 1 hour to go on the download.

Also I upgraded to MoM , it said I get tokens to get 2  items in game?

    are they any good?

warden is a good solo class and the tokens are just turn in for items like house items or potions. welcome back

For a server I suggest Brandywine since it is the highest population server so you will easily find groups.  Landroval is also good and it's the Unofficial RP server.

If you come to Brandywine and need any help feel free to hit me up, my name is Ryanstar

I also came from WAR and after a few months I just gave up on it. It was nothing like it was expected to be. It was the first MMO I have ever played where I just couldn't level, I found no fun in trying to level. I was stuck at level 24 for about a month before I realized that the game wasn't for me.

I played LOTRO at launch also and stopped after a little due to real life and still playing WoW.

I'm really glad I came back because this is my favorite MMO I have played since Asheron's Call.

I hope you have lots of fun.

I'm another one coming from WAR, except I thoroughly enjoy WAR, it just doesn't satisfy my PVE and general story-line craving like LoTRO has in the past in my rather short experince with it. I just resubbed back today and went to the Brandywine server, so if you need someone to level with let me know.

The Lord of the Rings: Online community at its best. For me, being in a Kinship with the possibilities and new activities that gave access to, heightened everything and prolonged my enjoyment immensely.
