Well the time is almost upon us. For many years Darkfall has been hidden from us under a veil of secrecy; an occasional pic here, a thread there, a few words from a developer every now and again. Some of us grew anxious in the last few months. Not knowing what to expect, speculations began to fly. "Will the game have this?", or "They will handle this skill in that way", so on so forth. Haters from day one have been chomping at the bit to see this game fail. Any opportunity to flame the game, developers, or community were easily taken advantage of. On the other side, fans eagerly awaited every nugget of information hoping for the the tiniest crumbs of information just to feel good that "their" game was finally a reality. I do not proclaim myself a fanboy or a hater but I do hope all can agree on one simple fact. The decent thing to hope for is that the game releases well and is a success. I do not wish bad things on anyone, and if I were a developer of a software ready to launch, I would hope for success. To all involved with the production of Darkfall, good luck and thanks. To all the haters and fanboys out there, thanks to keeping us entertained and keeping us informed. Here is to a successful launch. You've earned it.

indeed good luck darkfall. ill miss these vaporware arguments
Indeed hoping for a successful launch myself ofcourse.
Its sad to say it but as the days get closer to release these forums get slower, chances are after the game is out they will quiet down considerably.
But thats normal I guess these forums will be just like any other mmo forum with posts asking about map locations, and opinions about skill builds.
New players will come around look to these boards for general guidance about the game and have no idea of the epic battles that we fought here.
...or something like that, cheers all.

As an MMO player who still holds hope for the sandbox design and the MMO genre as a whole, I hope the launch goes well.
More importantly, I also hope the game itself does well in the long term. This might make not just indy, but large house companies to take another look at the sandbox design, good for everybody.
There's no turning back now, it's time. No more speculation, sink or swim; and for a fledgling company that has done many stupid things, things seem like they're going to get far, far worse.
Are these people actually ready to launch an MMORPG? We'll see soon.
When exactly is launch? In how many hours?
HEHEHEHE
They say in the evening for Europe.
Well right now its 6 in the morning here, so hopefully Darkfall will launch in less then 12 hours.

Thank you, Darkstar. Evening? I might as well head to bed then, hehe. 6:30 in the morning over here in Norway.
HEHEHEHE
I'll drink to that
I think you're right, things will quiet down. But about two months after release will come another interesting phase here - factual judgment.
I just wish I could freaking play it tomorrow. I've waited for nearly 4 years for this game, and god forbid I didn't have the time this weekend to refresh my browser at 3am.
Other than that, I hope cheating / asshats don't ruin it too much.
