How to play DF & enjoy
Here is some tips for you;
Wait for release, let people play for a month.
Check "altavista / lycos" search engines about the latest tips 
Check forumfall everyday. Search for words "was" "that" "intended ?" 
Ask this to your friend while looking directly into his/her eyes who played after a month : Is it Ok ? And continue to look his/her eyes ! 
( you'll know what I mean )
Be naked always 
Have fun...

Pro tip: Camp respawn points next to town and gank everyone who respawns, loot them, and then run into town and put all their gear into your bank. Repeat.
Go to bed every night with the sure and certain knowledge that you are "HardKore Newb Pwner" and that all the girls think you are great, and that "carebears" secretly want to be you when they grow up.

Pro tip 6 - Macro - Macro early, macro often, macro everything. That's if you want to have skills comparable to that dog man hitting on you.
Pro tip 8 - 'sploit - The top 'hardcore' guilds are and will continue to you are either agead of the curve or behind it.
Pro tip 8 - Buy a decent hack subscription - You want speed buff so you can run at sprint speeds (or faster) without using stamina. Radar is a nice luxury too.
No - seriously - get 'geared' up or get ganked.

Purchase the Big book of Everquest raider tips to learn the basics behind using the toilet at your desk as youll need to keep an eye on your toon whilst macroing. In the worst case scenario,some 12 year old punk with kiss makeup on comes along whilst youre off "giving birth to an otter" and horizontal strikes his way through your corpse and loots your crap stuff.
Always,always,always keep up to 3 pairs of socks and a large plastic bottle/bucket combo close at hand so theres never any need to have your monitor out of your field of vision.keep it up and who knows,maybe one day Blizzard will hire you as a lead dev.

Always make sure youve macro'ed your crafting enough to ensure a large collect of materials.A good idea would be to get a good bot program up and running (dont worry,theyll be along soon) to collect the stuff for you whilst you read a book,play wii sports,whatever.
This way once you die to some n00b and he loots your stuff,you can then jog off to the bank and re-equip yourself from the 500 helmets,leggings,chest pieces and shoulder pads your bot will have happily built for you,and no doubt youll have stockpiled. Everyone else will have the exact same stockpile in their bank,so in times of desperation simply spam WTB in chat (use a macroing program to do this) to purchase some new stuff.
So when that nub loots your stuff you can happily appear 2 minutes later and say "lol",and then get back to macroing whilst you undertake some wii bowling.
protip 11 - remember it is best to macro in an enemy or deep red camp. Raising defensive skills is tough unless kindly players beat on you for macroing!
Simply find a leafblade equipped friend and vanish off into a quiet corner for some macro swing fun! boost your defensive skill the easy way. Make sure to have your own macro set to heal self and pots just incase you are unlucky enough to die.

I prefer my way as it does not rely on a friends macros being up to snuff. You will die many times whilst macroing that is also the quick way to get your mana back newb!! and I am certainly not going to multibox this &^^%$££@ (though no doubt some will).

moving in straight lines = death
learn to circle strafe, jump and zigzag at all times

learn the fine art of ducking behind someone else. Use others for cover thats what they are there for.
So... do I have to be naked when I'm asking my friend if Darkfall is good after a month?
I'm not saying I'm unwilling... I just think it could get weird. How lenient is "having fun in Darkfall" on skipping some of these steps?
