I doubt WoW will ever OUT subscribe Everquest 2. I played the Beta for both and Everquest was far superior, not only in graphics but in treatment of their players. WoW yes, is being made by a great company but they're paying little to NO attention to advice from veteren players who KNOW what they like and are willing to spend money to get it. Instead they're releasing patches that completely KILL every aspect of the game including PvP.
Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

i dont mean dueling or a designated zone when i say PVP.... i dont like the banks to be safe from PVP either... or bazaar style zones....
give me my lvl restrictions and let me kill someone
Your view is in the minority. If you make open pvp it would just be abused. Having an arena where single players/groups/guilds can meet up to do battle is better for the game. That way the is no grieving because every 1 knows what they are going to do in an arena... Cant report to the devs for having the sh it beat out of you in the arena
I might be in the minority of EQ2ers... BUT i am almost sure there will be enough of us for them to put up another Vallon/Tallon and most likely a Rallos and Sullen type server as well..... and what makes you think that not having PVP in all zones is better for the game?
I had a huge rant typed out that apparently didnt get added to my other post on this thread.... quite alot of EdguardoASG (or whatever his name is) bashing..... but to sum it up i think that other guy said it best when he said that there needs to be a human element in the game to make it more interesting....
I like knowing that while i'm exp'ing i can do a zone check and see that someone i know (and that i know whats to pk me) is in the zone, it adds tension... not to mention you can earn respect on some servers doing this mob raid for X hours with ASDF guild 134, but on a PvP server you earn respect by taking it from the other people..... also it helps build relation ships after you PK someone a couple hundred times lol

I don't really think you are the minority. At least not the overwhelming minority. I know that I would prefer there to be at least some PvP (most prefferably in my opinion open PvP but only in the cities).

Its sad that you need to pvp someone and kill her/him 100 times to earn any respect.. and i wonder what kind of 'respect' that might be... probably none. Youre just annother griefer running around. Maybe youre in sufferng from your life or you have been abused in some way by people around you.. and you use that kind of playing to burst out all your suffering and wrath.. which might be good for your health but a pain for the other people who are having fun.
Anyway back to the pvp thing: I agree that in some situations PvP is diferent from Griefing.
Unfortunaly both types of gameplay tend to cross each others frontiers quite easly. Its not rare to see someone who lost a pvp fight to go back and take advantage in another player just to make him/her feel better.
I have played several mmorpgs, last one was Lineage II where i was one of the highest lvl Silver RAnger at the time i left ( lvl 55 SR - WhiteWolf - Bartz Server). Lineage II is a game ment for pvm and pvp as well. I had to fight several battles and skirmishes along the way, since as a SR ( best PK char in L2 imo ) i was asked by my guild to do it. Most of the players i had to kill in the game were griefers working alone, or from griefers guilds.
Let me assure you ( and my pvp count was pretty high at the time ) that playing a char class mainly used to kill fast is no fun at all. You get a stressful gameplay experience, instead of a relaxing quality time of playing to forget the days work etc.
Pvpiyng in an Arena or guild controlled areas, in a controlled enviroment where everyone know what they are to expect might be fun for the fans of pvp, like Anarchy Online does.
