EQ2 pre-order at Best Buy

PaganchildPaganchild Member Posts: 159

Well, I called Best Buy to confirm if they will be getting the game tomorrow and I was told that they will not be getting the game until this thursday at the earliest. That's the preorders. I guess what is left they sell regularly. I hope for those of you who pre-ordered through BEst Buy, that it is just a fluke here in the stores here.::::21::

Ouch, what state are you in? There's always hope - the average best buy employee doesn't know squat in the stores in my area.

Well, they do know how to pester you endlessly, trying to get you to purchase the extended warranty on a $20 item.  :-)

CompUSA are the kings of "extended warranties". I went into a CompUSA to buy notebook memory. They bring it out, and go through the spiel of warranty. They were offering a 5-year warranty on a $60 stick of RAM. I said, "Bro, I will most likely be getting a new notebook in less than half that time." Well that shut him up for the time being. When we checked out, he asked me again for the warranty, and I started getting a bit agitated. After saying flat out "No, thanks" the CASHIER says "I can't believe you aren't getting the warranty, nearly everyone does." This is when I went out of my mind angry. I told the cashier I would not be buying the RAM and I asked her if she had a comment card, which I proceeded to fill out on the spot.

But anyway, back on topic, yes Best Buy sucks.

Yes, I wouldn't trust Best Buy with a purchase like this. I only use them for unadvertised specials and I definitely go there for the "touch and feel" test before I go order online or somewhere else that will price match plus 10%. Best Buy and its ilk need to die. That brick and mortar costs too much for them to play fair and honestly against the lesser overhead of online retailers.
