Anyone else losing faith?

in World of Warcraft

Not saying i wont play WoW but this has been a very poor showing by blizzard.

I mean the whole FP thing, then there wow website crashed befoe anyone could have downloaded the game so i dont quite understand why the account creation site crashed before anyone could have used it.

 Im gonna guess,but the patch they loaded had lots of the testers pissed off, so they were bringing servers offline for a hot fix. So im guessing they wanted to un-do part of the patch before the open beta.

Or my other idea is they are just dumb a*s's and did a d piss poor job of planning open beta.

    Fileplanet. I got a key and downloaded the game but i guess i just had better expectations of blizzard then this cluster f&ck of a open beta sign up.

    Maybe (now bare with me on this) terrorists from fanatical EQ2 tribes are all out to get the fine folks at blizzard. And maybe, by this little sabotage, they'll start a revolution by means of spamming bored players with adds....

    Or maybe I'm just dumbfounded by the complete and utter mind-(explitive) this is all turned out to be.

    HEY! You might be right! infact... What if the EQ2 makers whoever they are bribed blizzard to completely screw up OB so that everyone would hate them... yeah, that sounds like EXACTLY what they would do... evil people... rofl

    Well Blizzard does have a 800 number so if anyone wants to cost them a bit of money feel free to call them at 1-800-592-5499. Free call for you but blizzard picks up the tab for the call.

    I am just as disappointed with Blizzard! I guess its EQ2 for me.

    Their choice of Fileplanet for beta download is just toooooooo damn stupid. Are they so out of touch that they don't know what is Fileplanet? If they are that out of touch with the gaming world I don't even want to play their game!

    I once made the grave error of singing up a subscription with FilePlanet. Then still could not download faster. After a lot of hooooohaaaa it turned out they signed me up for one of their other branches, I guess it was deliberately misleading. So to get the game downloads they told me I needed to join this other area and PAY AGAIN. So much for File Planet - I would not touch them with a ten foot pole!

    Someone does live at that 800 number. Dialed it and dialed extention 1111 and got Mike but he didnt know to much. Oh well image

    Sorry man, its just you. I've got my key & account not using fileplanet at all, the game will be installed tomorrow morning I don't feel like puttting it on yet because I know I'll stop working.

    id be curious to know how you got your account since the wow account site crashed with the rest of wow about the same time the open beta keys went on FP.

    hardcore refresh this site and sooner or later it will load and u can create ur beta account.Thats how I did it and I got 5 Accounts for all of my RL friends and me ^^ And the Open Beta Client was downloadable thru the WoW site for like 1 week already... some guy on the forum posted a link to it so its basically ur own fault u waited that long. Ive been playing OB tonight already and DAMN WoW is very awesome.

    Good luck to u all getting into it I bet u all will make it

    they have like 30 servers up , so it should be more than enough room for all of u :)

    servers will get online, you will get ingame* and you will have a great time! image

     

    *one way or another! if you dont get a slot in the open beta, you can always try out the finished product. (nov-23)

    if you dont intend to try the finished product i guess the game wasnt that interesting after all, so why whine about it, eh?

    What did you expect? I think it's funny that people are complaining about the servers crashing when OB went live. I bet within 5 minutes there were probably already 10's of thousands of people (if not more) trying to get their accounts simultaneously. The servers were overwhelmed. I could have seen this coming. Similar problems happened with Lineage II when it went OB.

    On the first night I guess its expected.

    All week and I would be disappointed.

    Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
    Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

    I am definatly losing faith as I am "not permitted"to get an account as I live in the UK and the EU version is still 3-4 months away from open beta over here.

    Seems a bit daft to me that Blizzard is going to go to so much trouble keeping all the world regions apart.

    Oh well everybody enjoy themselves who can get into open beta and can buy the game in 2 weeks time.
