Serious death penalties makes every close call an adrenaline rush, and every minor achievement a major victory. This alternative rule-set should be in all MMORPGs.

There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
so theyve patched the client 3 times on the day it was suppose to release, yet the servers havent even gone live yet?
sounds like theyre still internally testing it and releasing hotfixes

Which can be looked at as a good OR a bad thing.
Good: They have an active support system ready to fix errors, which are inevitable with and MMO launch (Though some have more than others).
Bad: What needed three patches to fix?
ya, it doesnt look very good considering the game hasnt gone live yet and theyre rushing patches out on the day of release. Id expect a couple patches on the server side for server stress etc. but these are client side patches which says theyre pushing things to you guys you should have had to prepare you for today.. the day the game was suppose to go live.
I just feel sorry for you guys who are waiting to reserve names. this must really suck

i thought 1033 and 1034 were just released today as well? Cause one of them messed up the launcher and the other was a fix for that fix.

well 1034 was technically a fix for 1033 deleting your files...

well 1034 was technically a fix for 1033 deleting your files...

maybe they have put more servers or they have extended the current cap and they had to put some patches on the last minute before go LIVE... Or they have some trouble with the accounts and try to put patch to solve? who cares..i only wanna play!!!

I am patching my client now to 1035 as well. Just tried to log on, and now its patching to 1035. This is the third patch I've done to my client today and I jsut grabbed the torrent off the Darkfall website Sunday.
Looks like there is more problems then just being behind on processing credit card orders to me.
Why all these last minute patches? I thought the game was ready for months now? lol
Ya, Tasos said the game has been ready to play all night. The 3 patches indicate otherwise.

Yea, I think something is going on... but I wish they would hurry up and open the game... fraking retarded its taking this long.
just so you guys know.. these patches have nothing to do with the game.. only the patcher.. im sure there will be patching once we can login

there is no direct link for the patch.. this can only be downloaded by the client patcher.

Hmm not to sure how its updating for the rest of you but the client updater randomly came up for me but didnt install anything, just made a new file in my roaming darkfall file labeled lobbyupdates.aiu. Havent had any luck getting the update client to even open let alone try and install the latest patch. Any ideas?
So even the patches need patches? I know I can't be the only one here when I say...... WTH??????
