Oh boy...this can't be...HELP!!!

I just downloaded the patch...Ok 1 hour 40 minutes...I can live with that....when that finished another one started.....238 hours 23 minutes!!!! Someone tell me my something I want to hear!

    Probably too muhc people downloading the patch.. so you cannt get a good transfer bitrate.
    Dont worry.. it will speed up :)

    Because even on 56k it didn't take that long to dl the game when servers were loaded... lol
    300 hour max.. but 668 hours? your either on 14k... or you connected at a abd time adn might want to restart it :P

    The busy server is most like the case like said. Which is why I'm kinda glad my copy isn't here yet. By the time I'm able to get on most of these problems might be over.

    Ya most games have huge problems at launch or when patching since all the players able to heavly press the limits of the servers causing a low bitrate transfer.. as 'Effect' said.. maybe getting the game a couple of days after might be good :)

    at least it didnt crash yet, from overload. which it most likely will tomorrow when everyone gets thier copy...i would wait it out and see if it gets better, and hope its done before the stores open......

    I just did a quick tour of other boards and no one else seemed to be having a problem. The only other mention of a patch was a single one of 16 minutes.

    The first thing I would check would be my firewall. I know that mine has to be given permission to allow an app permission to access the internet when the app is changed or patched. Also you might check to see if the windows firewall is enabled along with a retail one such as Norton's etc., running dual firewalls can cause problems. Sometimes routers can give you fits , although I never had any problems with my Linksys and EQII. Check to make sure you have the latest firmware.

    These are just suggestionss but something is not right here since you seem to be a isolated incident. I would bet five US that it is a firewall blocking you. If the firewalls/router check out I would suggest that you use the tech forum on the official boards. Good luck.
