Looking For Info On What to do and Not to Do in the First Few Days

Hi,

I'm looking for info on what to do and not in the first few days of EQ2. I'd rather not restart my charater.

I plan to play a Kerra scout or a fighter of some type.

My play style is usually solo unless I find a good group that doesn't waste time. The amount of time I have to play varies form 30 mins to 3 hours+

Any info to keep me from making mistakes would be great.

    If you really want to solo, then I would recommend trying out a conjurer first. The advantages for soloists are great: 1. Your spells look cool... REAL cool. 2. Groups won't really want you. 3. You have pets... lots of pets. 4. Did I mention that you have cool looking spells??

    I really thought about being a conjurer, but then I thought to myself... "If I wanted to play an RPG by myself all the time, I would just play Fable."

    Dont die...? :O If you dont want to ruin your experience.. stay away from all sites giving out spoilers... I probably would still be palying eq1 or ac1 if I ahdn't been such a whore with sites adn forgotten how toa ctually figure out quests myself... o.. more advice... dont... attack things that are red to ya? (red is abd on this con system like in eq1 I suppose, even though I have heard some say they can solo 3 reds)

    if your talking about soloing three reds on EQlive he isnt telling a fib. i quad kited the ravenous nightstalkers in the plane of nightmare, from when they were red to me at 53 until lvl 60. if you mean in EQ2 they are probably lying.

    Thanks for the replys. I just might try a  conjurer first. I've always wanted to play a mage but they were always wimpy before.

    I agree it would bemore fun to to use the net to spoil the quests. I've been playing WoW beta the past few days and really like it. The interface is simple and I've been able to figure every thing out with out the need of a manual. The quest flow well.

    I'm almost afraid that I will like WoW better than EQ2. We'll know in a few days!

    Imo.. play whatever you want to. You like a fighter? go for it. You like a scout .. go for it. Any char you will play can be a good single or group char. Dont just go for a mage conjuer or another class because people tell you to.. have fun and enjoy your dreams dude :)
