Hello everyone.
I got my chance to log into Darkfall this morning and all I can say is that I am very pleased with what I have so far seen.
The client runs great. I am running it on maxed out settings and it doesn't even glitch.
The world is extremely well done.
This game is much more difficult than any mmo I have ever previously played, as far as starting out is concerned.
It has also been the most enjoyable newb experience I have ever had.
The issues that Aventurine are having with the launch don't really bug me, but that's me.

If your experience with actually getting into and playing the game went as smoothly as you say, then I don't doubt you had a lot of fun.
Good luck and have even more fun when you get to play again, and hopefully you will have an equally easy time logging in.

totally agree with OP.
after a decade of traditional point and click mmo's this is a very refreshing change. fighting mobs is hard, looting stuff quickly is hard, jeezus, even selling stuff is a pain in the ass lol.
got my first taste of the game for about an hour while the server was up and it was silly fun. 10 of us chasing around the 2 mobs that spawn and seeign who could loot them was a minigame in itself
did about 3 quests, really need to get used to the keybinds (i was always a clicker) killed about 30 goblins and 1 player by accident... good times.
great first impressions, hopefully the server will be back up so I can go on exploring
best $50 i think i've spent in a long time. (except that asian hooker...
)
How much do you want to bet their forums go up as soon as they fix all the login issues and other stuff. I bet they come back up with those comments deleted too.

Wow, haha I'm sorry but the OP HAS to be working for the company, I even consider myself somewhat a fanboi since I want to play the game and want it to succeed but the timing lack of posts and the way that came off...HAHAHA, going to the kitchen for more popcorn can't wait!
Played: Shadowbane, UO, PlanetSide, SWG, EQ 2, City of Heros, AO, AoC, Daoc, WOW, lotro, Eve, GW, Tabula, Pirates of the burning sea (yup), Vanguard, Warhammer, Lineage 2
Out of all those I loved Shadow Bane, SWG (it had its issues but those first few months were great) and AO after about 5 months I was in love) RIP..not since then have I loved a MMO...

To those who are negative, my suggestion is that you actually try the game. If you like a game that starts out like LOTR or AOC, etc, you might be in for a bit of a shock. Otherwise, I believe you might actually like it.

So 1 of 2 things is happening in this post. 1. Trolls are playing the part to make things look bad, or 2...and this is sad, the company has its agents out and WOW, there dumb agents...

I really wouldn't call any of the people being negative to the game trolls. The game is having a horrible launch, and we are simply pointing that out.

Let me guess, you played right through the server crashes without a hitch. Zero defects on your side correct ?
Did you play for hours or a few minutes ? please tell.

game? what game? I went to bed at 10pm EST with no darkfall server up and I wake up at 5: 30am EST with no darkfall server up. I suppose this game really is hardcore if I have to stay up all night just to get a chance to play for a bit...
ah well, at least someone's enjoying it!

To the OP : I'd love to say that too, since i've played in the beta and can say that they have done a good job on the game. But it seems like the patch server is down. Can't get through that part. How'd you get past that? (Yes, i'm in 1.0.35).

Don't believe I did.
Anyway, external issues that the company are having do not, thankfully, reflect the actual experience in game.
Perhaps if Aventurine spent a bit more on their infrastructure things could have gone smoother, but the game itself, from what I have seen so far, is actually very good.
We'll see how long it takes for them to sort their issues.

I played for a little less than 2 hours, I guess.
Its not the fact that he is posting with a low count, its a combination of him supporting an obvious **** release and registering same day with his first post being a topic in support of the game while there are 150 negative ones.
