WoW fanboys and SoE bashers need to eat their words

With all these naysayers preaching that SoE will screw up the launch of EQ2, and comparing it to SWG..i just want to politely say.....

 

NEENER NEENER NEENER!!!!

EQ2 has got to be one of the best...if not the best launch of a mmo that i have had the pleasure to experience...the only game that can hold a candle to it has got to be Dark Age.

I must say with this launch, I believe that Soe has showed us all that they can still make quality games, and make the entire experience enjoyable.

    I still wonder how they did it. I wasn't a naysayer, but I had some problems believing the launch would be completely smooth. Especially with how the servers acted up to the end of beta. They must have been pegging the servers hard at the end and taking good notes.

    Good job!

    I haven't gotten my box yet and I am at work anyway, so hopefully the after-work/school rush doesn't make us eat our words and kill my play time!

    Servers seem stable but the shipping fiasco may scar the "smoothest launch" comments.  Unless SOE planned this so not everyone logs in the first time at the same time....evil company it is, yesimage

    Bleh. Shipping problems never scar a launch. I can't think of them now, but previous games had shipping "problems" and everyone's already forgotten about them. Once you get the game (perhaps a day later than some) then you will forget all about it as you are immersed in the world and neglect everything else.

    I was referring to the "rumors" as I don't know if its true from other threads stating lots of the CE's were packaged improperly and were damaged.

    Shipping problems???  Last I checked SOE wasnt in the shipping business.  You can blame that on whoever handles their shipping and/or the stores themselves.

    No, but they are in charge of packaging, and if they packaged them wrong, its a defective product, can (should be) recalled, etc... just like all other companies.  It seems only the CE's got hit with this, and not all of them, but someone in their distrubution house screwed up if this ends up being true and more then a few isolated cases.  Nothing to do with the game, but if there is a shortage of CE's vs preoders due to a big mistake, then some people may not see the game for awhile, and I'm sure that may tick some people off.  Wouldn't you be?
