Great, the trolls found this forum.
I'm still not sure why they sit around trying to convince everyone the game will fail, or we're all paying for crap, or we're getting stamped on by a company, etc. etc. I think if I cared, I would have stopped following the game already. But I haven't. It's like telling someone that their religion is false and they should just give it up. It's just not going to happen. We all know there's a chance the game could fail like any other that is released, or that it will suck, or we'll hate it, or whatever. The chances go the other way just the same.
In conclusion, I really want to fix my billing information so I can play. In the mean time, I plan to study for school. Otherwise I'll just be hitting F5 for a few hours.

They do it because they feel it's their duty to be the Jesus of Darkfall. By preaching their rhetoric over and over they hope that we'll see how Darkfall is a complete and utter failure. I think we should thank them for wasting so much time on the MMORPG.com forums, because they're really going to have an impact on the future playerbase here.
Really, they are probably butt hurt that the game didn't turn out the way that they wanted, so they're using embellished statements to justify the enormous void that's been placed in their ego by a video game. I think they all should start a dating site, they're having narcissistic tantrums in order to draw attention to themselves to make themselves feel like their feelings are justified, afterall, misery loves company. They probably hope that enough people will rally to their cries for attention that they wont feel so alone anymore.
Chances are 90% of them will play the game anyway, once they get around to being able to order it.
It's just a temper tantrum about not getting a preorder in or not being able to order the game at all, it'l pass eventually. They'll find another game to bash eventually. I find it interesting that someone who hates the game and doesn't care about it would continue to spend so much time posting the same argument over and over again. I guess they just don't have anything better to do right now.

Chances are of those 90% who do play, the vast majority will really like the game. The others will hate it, and spew their nonsense in game. At least then we have the mute option

Sorry, but the trolls aren't 'wishing for the doom of darkfall'. Most are saying that Aventurine isn't capable of running an MMO, which appears to be completely true.. I think it's funny you make the comparision of Darkfall to religion.. it's the same comparison that the "trolls" have been making since the begining in referring to how the fanboys are hailing darkfall as the "coming of the messiah"..

prob doing short reviews of a game you tried but not saying it blows x game out of the water and y game sucks compared to that.
the moment you add things to your post to anger others regardless who they are you wont see your stars go up.

I thought he took the easy way out.

I always thought all you had to do to get stars was post frequently. When I post a few times a day, my stars are high.. if I don't come back for a week, they go back to almost zero.
Don't think it has anything to do with the quailty of post. If it does, how do I change people's stars? Don't think you can.
naw there are people who have 10k posts and yet no stars.
It depends on what your post is about and how it contribues to the game your mentioning about.
Even trolls and fanboys can get stars by some sort of contribution done in the past.
example imbant got some good rating and even has a thread stickied.
While i dont get along with uber fanboisim he did alot of reaserch in his thread and proved that this game was still in development ect.
Think of older games you played there could be a chance you contribued in a way without even noticing.
Just avoid the bashing of other games people in your post and you may get a shiny gold star.
Now there are people who have high rating because they have contribued one way or another but still go and troll a game or 2.
as in changing stars of other people. If they post somthing utterly negative about another poster. do personal attacks ect. these people you can report and explain why you reported them. Depending on the severity if it is very bad the post will get modded and that player will get warned. his rating will suffer if he did have stars.
however if it really wasnt bad and no edits were done that person will remain unaffected.

Who gives out the stars?
And by frequency, I mean recent frequency.
For example:
If I post 10 posts a day for 5 days straight, I should have close to 5 stars even if I only have 50 total posts. But if I have 1000 total posts, yet only post like 1 post per week for a month, I'll have low stars due to not posting often enough.
