Do you really think, even if they opened up their forums, they want to hear from you? They have given 1 update all day, and the game is barely playable from what i am hearing.
They shut down the forums on purpose, so that mmorpg.com can babysit it's fanbase. VBulletin does NOT need to come down for updates or addons, it can be doneo n the fly. So the fact they said they took down their forums for billing reasons is BS. THEY dont want to hear from you, thus minimizing negative posting on their site. If you were the common schmoe looking at the game, not knowing about mmorpg.com, you would never know what was going on, and would be more inclined to plop the $50 on the game, than if you saw all the negative posts.

Anyone know some good jokes about Greek people? hehe
Exactly, they don't want the few who are in-game to spam about in-game problems and chase away potential new bait, I mean subscribers. They need to announce refunds and stay in open beta.
Not sure what game you guys are talking so negatively about.. I'm having a lot of fun. I have that immersion feeling back - finally.
Serious death penalties makes every close call an adrenaline rush, and every minor achievement a major victory. This alternative rule-set should be in all MMORPGs.

No you dont understand . They closed their forums . People who have legitament complaints on not being able to get in or game issues cannot post their concerns to get them rectified to enjoy thier game. They also wanted to avoid most of the negative comments that are seen in the df forums here. they are using a 3rd party to do thier forums. They are completely lying about not being able to support the traffic.
vbulletin is not affected by how many people swarm their fourms. The message that comes up when you try to go to their forums is one made by AV themselves.
This actually burns more than when games like vanguard closed their forums before releasing their games and letting fansites deal with the mess.
Watching Fanbois drop their soap in a prison full of desperate men.

Tasos has said a lot of things... sadly most of them untrue.

Long story short: They don't want the official site filled with bad publicity.
19/02/2009 @11pm - "Your Darkfall preorder was successful!"

Ahh, classic Tasos!

Hope they open again soon, quality in this forum lowers when official forums are closed.
