Has anyone tried to use a Visa Debit card to purchase their pre-order. I thought I purchased mine with an successful pre-order email but nothing has happened.
So I have changed my CC info to a regular visa card, do you think this might cause a problem?
if you are an american card holder, then you should call you visa/mastercard company and notify them that you are expecting a charge from europe. My card company told me they will reject those if you dont notify them. This was also suggested by BRANNOC in IRC

As I said in another post a friend of mine who works in card services at Bank of America said its not all that uncommon for something like this to happen. What Aventurine should have done was just place a reserve on the full purchase amount and bill the card once the game launched. That would still allow those who wished to cancel the preorder to do so, and could also allow Aventurine to bill the 2.52 as a cancellation fee.
What she said it sounds like is the first billing (2.52) went through as an authorized charge while the second billing (the remainder) was seen by the system as an unauthorized charge and therefore flagged and declined.

good question...I selected visa/visa electron without knowing what visa electron was but I saw no other 'visa option' so I took that.

I dont think it works. I tried to use mine as well and nothing...
I used a regular visa credit card (not pure visa card) and I didn't get the 0 euro charge. .. Im one of the "FUCKED" customers.
On both accounts that I preordered .....
in theory the visa/check card and debit card should work

in another thread you stated you used your parents card .
when you added the billing info did you use the info that was tied too the visa card?
if you put yur name the transaction will not go threw since you don't own the card it will come up denied .
