HEy guys,

I know I haven't posted much yet but, I just wanted to say thanks to mmorpg.com :D

If it wouldnt exist I wouldnt have been able to  see how bad the launch of Darkfall really went, and surely would've wasted another 40€ onto another preorder of a new game I was so exited about first, but would've regretted it later.

Since AV put down their forums offline(on purpose I guess, not to save bandwith), no one driven by the hype was able to really figure out what went wrong. It was similar when TR launched, while they didn't even had an official forum even after the launch. But I guess I wouldnt have bought it either after reading how bad it was really developed...

Also I have to blame this website and community for building up the hype at first...

PS.: No native english speaker, so keep your comments about bad gramar to yourselves...

Cant really blame the website, they are the medium onto which information transmits, blame the community for the hype etc (both trolls and fanboys).

    Playing: Not much actively.
Games played: to many to list, been playing MMO's since 2001

For an indy company I'd say the launch wasn't too bad at all. And as for making a decision on this game from the opinions of other posters, I personally think it's a bad idea. As we have seen over the last many months, posters here have rarely been subjective in their hate/praise of the game, instead it's been about rabid fanboys and trolls that were never prepared to aceept the games successes/shortcomings.

I'd say the best idea would be to try the game for yourself. Even if you have to wait for a free trial.

I've been following the DF soap opera too, and I find it almost laughable that they have pulled their forums. Which is pretty much what happened, as it seems pretty well observed that the "bandwidth issues" were a bandaid excuse.

So yeah, good on mmorpg for pretty much being the official Darkfall forums now.

npoe, since I never got to try it(global collect isnt working yet, and I will sure as hell not order a cc just for a game)I can't really say it's crap. All I could observe so far was that I would've regretted preordering because of the desync issues and the nonexistence of an official forum.

That was all I tried to say.

    *edit*

I got a virtual cc though(wirecard) whoch I thought about charging to be able to play DF, after that desastrous launch day I overslept that decision though and thougt it would be better to not do it.
