If Aventurine took a few cues from Blizzard's design book they might actually have a more polished game than they do now.
But of course, you always look at it in terms of PvP... and the depth of PvP in Darkfall is rather shallow other than in organizational "skill", so I guess that's very exciting for you. The only thing this offers you is skill based and full loot. While I'm very for those things, I'd rather see the polish first.
It wasn't long before the 10 year olds cried "WOW SUCKS". I am looking forward to two months from now.
This is the first game that can be compared to WoW in 0 ways... and I love that.
Agreed. First game that makes me feel immersed in a loooong time.
Serious death penalties makes every close call an adrenaline rush, and every minor achievement a major victory. This alternative rule-set should be in all MMORPGs.
Did you not play WoW at release? It WAS unplayable on a lot of servers, some servers were down for a week or more, and can't forget the year and a half of ridiculous lag that occured when more than 60-70 people fought each other. Just sayin'

I was stating that unlike all other games after wow...
to include...
Lotro, AOC, vg, warhammer, eq2 etc..
all of those games used one of many of the wow selling points
such as..
1. ease of learning
2. marked quests
3. ease of progression
4. ease of end game
5. restrictive pvp.
if you never played any mmos before wow, to include uo and the original eq, AC, darktide.. etc.. you just won't understand.. and thats fine.. because i listed a whole slew of games you can play.

FFXIV on Behemoth, FFXI on Eden, and Gloria Victis on NA.
to me so far, darkfall is like uo 2.0. it brings back that same feeling of wanting to desperately protect my shit, a consequence for dying. Also you can go anywhere and do you're own thing, you are not bound to stupid linear quests like in wow. Just take a look at the backpack and items in this game, its screaming UO and that is amazing!

This game is like WoW because they are both:
a) MMOs
b) computer games
c) 3d
d) involve magic/archery/melee combat
e) have crafting
f) have mounts
g) have armor slots
h) installed on a hard drive
i) have patchers
j) cost a monthly fee
I can keep going...
Glad you feel that way.

Numerous problems with sync problems (leaving some to say "unplayable" ) [plus] the preordering "fiasco" [does not equal] WoW

however the statement implies either Everything WOW did is wrong, or Everything with WOW is right
Both statements are of course false

That is true, never thought about that.
