Darkfall Delay Information
Hello and thanks to all of you players who have been patient with us through the launch. Tasos is posting here to clear up some of the confusion about the Darkfall launch, and to help clarify what exactly is going on.
DarkFall as you know is a brand new RPG, that has taken much of the level grinding out and replaced the focus on building a repertoire of skills that are useful for combat. We at Tasos have taken this to a brand new level. While many of you might have become frustrated with our billing process, let it be clear that it is working as intended. This aspect we like to call a "Game within a Game." Instead of grinding your character to a higher power, we now have you focus on grinding out account information. Certain notable milestones within this RPG system include reaching the level of "account creation." From here, the player then works on reaching a higher plane of existence, commonly known as an account with "updated billing info."
Then since Darkfall is striving to be the king of all Player Vs Player MMORPGS, we decided that even the preorder process should feature pvp content. As such, we have purposely set the amount of preorders well below actual demand. In this way, you are actively fighting against your peers to even get a chance to play the game. The ultimate PVP experience.
Those of you who have proven your power over the interwebs and your peers have received a preorder copy, and are playing the game right now as we speak. Unfortuanately, some people have been complaining about lag and invisible NPCs. Do not fear, this is also on purpose. During the design phase, there was a very heated debate as to what the goblin NPCs should actually look like. Since we were unable to reach a clear decision, we have decided to keep them invisible. This way each player can imagine the coolest looking goblin skin possible, and mentaly apply it to the game. This method leaves everyone satisfied with how awesome the goblins look. If they look shity, your imagination sucks and you should go read a book or something.

Out of all those I loved Shadow Bane, SWG (it had its issues but those first few months were great) and AO after about 5 months I was in love) RIP..not since then have I loved a MMO...

Jor... Dank. While we understand your frustration, perhaps a violent pvp experience is not the best choice for you. Currently at Aventurien we have a policy not to recommend alternative games to customers, we feel that this is a special case. Hello Kitty Island adventure has had great success in the past few months, and player housing has just been added.
