Guys do you actually have a RL too?
I mean I am sorry I am a programmer myself and to be true what they accomplished is amazing. Yeah there are still some really important issues, like Sync issue, Queueing, interface resolution bug etc. !
And while I agree that the game should have waited with the launch at least some months more to polish it, I really don't udnerstand why all people are crying like hell now - what did you expect when you preorder so early? I for one didnt expect anything else, its always the same with MMORPG launches. Aventurine is a small company and they have it even more difficult - so I really dont mind my preorder... because well it gives them support and a chance to fix the issues... - for now I dont see 1 reason why my money was invested bad!? - Maybe lack of communication, but well if you hanging in IRC you would get the updates you want... they are just too lazy to update the homepage sadly...
I may sound like a fanboi but if you remember I was very scepetical about the game myself. But once I played it I saw it has really a big potential (surely they need to fix the issues first). Problem is only that peopel are so terrible impatient... take some time with your wife/girlfriend, do something else in your RL and come back if you have the time to check the servers again... as you see they are working around the clock with the issues and please just give them a chance to fix them, instead of speculating and trash talking...

Wife is asleep, and I spend lots of time with here thanks for checking up on that. Seems like you had enough time to make this post as well, you also started with my all time fav type of line. As a former game developer, as a former person in the biz, as a programmer, as an engineer....UHG, even if you are, the point is let people enjoy the moment, sometimes its fun to get on an open forum where its a screen and no one else and vent, bitch, cheer, scream and cry. So what, posts like this are redundant and to abstract from the common goal of a forum....to tell ppl get a RL..hmmm interesting.

Out of all those I loved Shadow Bane, SWG (it had its issues but those first few months were great) and AO after about 5 months I was in love) RIP..not since then have I loved a MMO...

Heh, well, I'm just as frustrated as the rest of you, but frankly, I have never attended a release of a mmorpg that didn't "fail". Project Entropia, Dark and Light and Age of Conan are a few I can recall had problems during launch. So to be honest, problems are to be expected.
However, what bugs me is the preorder-thingy. I've recived all kinds of confirmation mails, the money has been transferred (checked with my bank). And yet it seems as if Aventurine is confident that the problem is on our side.

BTW, the IRC thing is mind blowing to me, while I LOVE me some IRC, that's about 10 years ago and isn't IRC now a cest pool for trading porn....I just picture Porn being traded in a building all around Tasos yelling PATCH IS COMING PATCH IS COMING!!!!

The fact that they did issue a patch after the first day shows they are working.....patches don't fall from the sky.

Brannoc (Community coordinator) just said in IRC: "The patch is done and has entered the testing phase which is the last phase before it goes live for you guys to break again."
Just check out IRC yourself guys... its best if you want up to date news...
