What to do while AV sorts its stuff out?

Gamer1221Gamer1221 Member Posts: 56

Suggestions? I actually just reactivated my WoW account, since I'm unable to purchase Darkfall right now. I also checked out Vanguard. Nice game. If there were more people, I'd definitely play the PvP server there. It's really a shame WoW didn't ever release a proper FFA PvP server. Full loot is nice, but I've always PKd just for the fun of it.

So... What are you doing now that Darkfall has dropped the ball?

I FREAKING loved Uncharted due, seriously, I fell in love with that game maybe cause I love indiana jones and it had that vibe but I loved it!

Played: Shadowbane, UO, PlanetSide, SWG, EQ 2, City of Heros, AO, AoC, Daoc, WOW, lotro, Eve, GW, Tabula, Pirates of the burning sea (yup), Vanguard, Warhammer, Lineage 2

Out of all those I loved Shadow Bane, SWG (it had its issues but those first few months were great) and AO after about 5 months I was in love) RIP..not since then have I loved a MMO...

I'm not much of a pvp player, but have you ever played on a pvp realm in WoW? They have open pvp where you can kill anyone of the opposite faction (horde vs alliance).

Lol I know, its a class act...so much better than I was anticipating (even though everyone insisted that it rocked). I can't wait for the sequel.

Killzone 2 is also out today (EU)!

    Do what I do...

Grab a drink, read the forums and laugh at the pathetic creatures who acts as if Darkfall is a vital part of their body.

I play on a PvP realm. The problem with their system is that it's still very limited. There are a few zones where you can't kill them. Also, I don't like the fact that I'm unable to chat with the opposing faction. Talking shit, and hearing people cry after you gank them, is one of the best parts of PvP in my opinion.

I don't mind that they don't let me loot the n00b i just p0wned, but at least let me hear him cry lol...

Actually I enjoy reading through the forum whine posts especially regarding the posts of people who preordered and expected that the game runs flawlessly ;)...

I am in work right now and try staying updated in the #darkfall IRC chat... so it seems like the server should go online soon, hopefully we can play a bit today afternoon at least :)

    Currently playing: Archeage
    Waiting for: Black Desert

I found the WoW PvP servers nearly the same as the PvE servers. No World PvP going on at all because everyone's busy in PvE or PvP instances. Maybe that's changed tho, with that new expansion. I dunno.

OT - i enjoy reading the forum PvP here while i'm at work. And at home i've recently been trying a free MMORPG called Requiem which isn't too bad actually.

And there's always time for pr0n

Shadowlands looks nice for the small monthly fee, never really tried it.. and the community is still quite lively on their forums.

You know any other game with live community atm? They all look like dead.. Oh well, Atlantica is on top but its turn based.

Actually I don't think Avanturine will sort anything out before the next sandbox releases. Not mentioning setting up a second server to let more people play.

well im enjoying the forum's atm lol.

just wish i could have been home more and got a pre order. i'll be glad when i can get one so i can join in on the fun.

this will be the first launch in a long while i'm not in or able to purchase the game. seem's wierd but oh well as soon as i can get a copy i'll be happy. even though i suspect it will end up a low population game i'm still going to give it a shot. if it does fail or end up like vg ect. it will be ok i have purchased many that failed or didn't live up to the hype.

just the life of a gamer cheer's.

It's not like Vanguard FFS server though. You can kill anyone anytime and anywhere plus their are no instances so it's all open world PVP. Contested mobs and dungeons can be taken by anyone who wants to take them.

You loot a bit of gold but no items. With more players and a bit of balancing with certain classes it would be just what people are looking for. It's a vast world which is bigger than DF and it has city building plus ship building and player housing plus guild forts.

All the framwork is there for a truely epic PVP experiance. With a little love from the devs and more people on the server it would be great.

Hehe, funny.. that's one of the best things about pvp in wow. Being defeated is bad enough, in my opinion. Throwing around insults is just so unnecessary.

I've been playing Morrowind again for about a day or so. Honestly, I got so immersed into the game that I don't mind waiting even a week for Darkfall now. Plus, I get to practice my bow skills on rats so when DF is ready I can shoot some real rats.

Quake live is actually quite fun in smaller doses. =) I don't see why to pvp folks play those kinds of games instead of MMOs?
