Good to hear there wasn't any serious exploiting going on. It's a bit scary they won't crack down on macroing though.

all hes saying is : i dont know, i dont know, i dont know, i dont know, i dont know, i dont know, i dont know...

It is hard to tell if a man is telling the truth when you know you would lie if you were in his place

<@Brannoc>; of course I can Sceleris, I wanted to be playing by now too

<@Brannoc>; no one is more disappointed than we are

<@Brannoc>; playing would be a LOT more fun than keeping the forums and irc channel shutdown to keep you guys from crashing them

<@Brannoc>; we Must have a way to communicate with people, we couldn't keep the forums online, so, I took the forums down

RixuS: Brannoc, did they ever diagnose the issue of accounts that *were* active, but suddenly *stopped*?

<@Brannoc>; that's on the list, RixuS

Etherwar: maybe put up the forums but disable new posts?

<@Brannoc>; still uses a lot of resources, Etherwar

<@Brannoc>; far more than this method

Of course, the thought of having the forums on a different server than the game never occurs.

Gee wonder how all the Darkfall fans aren't crashing the mmorpg.com servers? After all, it takes so many resources to keep a forum up.

Wow, Brannoc has it rough, I almost feel bad for the guy. He has so very little information, but everyone looks at him to save them.

Sig so that badges don't eat my posts.

What do you expect him to say, as he said in one of the responses it's not his place to say since he's not a developer.

Do you really think Brannoc is going to admit there are people exploiting? Little fanboi likes his job too much to do that.

well at least hes being honest i guess but theres an awful lot of "dont know" answers.

If someone is talking in general chat in a language you dont understand, chances are they're not talking to you. So chill out and stop bitching about it!

Not any 'major exploits' but non responsive mobs have certainly been abused to no end.

Brannoc is the most honest, decent, funny member of their staff.

Which is why he's the community guy, and not one of the Devs.

Give it a rest Zorvan. Yesterday MMORPG forums had about 2500 people on them at peak, where as the Darkfall forums were reaching the 10k mark when they were timing out and then taken down.

Good to hear that the exploiting was not a big issue like some were trying to make it out to be.

I dont see how they can the problem is just about every single skill in the game can be performed by left click wait n seconds left click etc. There is no feedback no interaction. Sad in what is essentially a competative game.

Actually, you can sit and watch a macro'er for a bit and then gank the crap out of him and steal his stuff.

    Go, Go, Macro'ers....

As opposed to left click, do a circle, step 4 step backwards, raise your right toe, wiggle your right pinky, right click?

I've seen this site with over 10k people on at once. A good example was when they gave away free keys for Lineage 2 and gamers from Korea stormed in here to grab keys. Guess what? Site never faltered.

"we Must have a way to communicate with people, we couldn't keep the forums online, so, I took the forums down"

    I'm sorry i can't find the logic

They want to communicate so they take forums and IRC down ?

This cy is really pathetic. They don't want to be bashed by customers on their forums. No more no less.

Okay, This Chatlog was disturbing it sounded like an old man with alzheimerz.

I DONT KNOW I DONT KNOW, I DONT KNOW, I DONT KNOW.

My question is dark fall going to be fun with excelent customer service, gee.

Is the game going to be reset upon release?

They will be on a different server than the game. What he was trying to get at is that with everyone running Check4Change and bashing their F5 buttons they were unable to reliably get messages out through the forums.

lol i guess u dont understand.  They most likely don't have the forums on the same server as the game, its just that their forum server can't handle the load of all the people by itself.  In addition to that MMORPG has less than 2000 people online, darkfall forums has over 4000.

whatever it is, they really need to come up with a better way to relay news. You cant except your customer base to sit in IRC all day waiting for an update.

    <@Brannoc>; I don't know, Deharakk

Kompressor: Is macroing a bannable offence?

<@Brannoc>; not my place to state the official stance on macro'ing

<@Brannoc>; but that's common sense, not an official stance

<@Brannoc>; I'd say a common sense answer would be that...if you're not macro'ing to exploit the system or for commercial gain...you'll be left alone

I don't get it? Can someone give me an example of macro that does/does not exploit the system? Thanks.

The whole idea of pre-order was that peeps who could cope with a game still being tested could play. A lot to be tested but also a whole lot of game better than most MMOs at full release.

Lots to still be tested and people were all asking about issues he was aware of them all not the resolution time.,
