Then why was that the exact reason that Aventurine decided to not use actual widescreen aspect ratio in Darkfall? They didn't want to because it would give people an unfair advantage, because they would see more.
Have they ever officially come out and said that, or is that just an idea that has come from forum goers & beta testers? I see a bunch of people saying they don't support widescreen because Aventurine thinks it's an advantage, but I haven't seen anywhere where they've said that themselves officially.
A bit more than an idea and a bit less than official.
Beta testers have complained and pleaded for actual widescreen ratio support. If Aventurine didn't have any reason to not include it, they would have. And it can't be a technical problem, since it's basically a one liner in the DX setup, and of course, you have proven yourself that it can't be a technical problem by actually finding a workaround. So it must be a different reason.

If you like motorsports, it's the most realistic sim out there. I've raced with several professional drivers on the service which has been a really fun experience. It really requires a big equipment investment if you want to be competitive ($300 min for a G25, but then you'll probably want a better shifter and pedals), but like I said if you're seriously interested in racing nothing else compares.
sweet might give it a go was a big fan of LFS and this looked much better

Yes the developers have stated that they did not want to enable widescreen because it gives unfair advantages...

I posted some videos of iRacing on Vimeo www.vimeo.com/carlosmoll/videos
I used to write for one of the blogs but it shut down.
That's false.
Darkfall is supposed to have widescreen and it's a bug that's preventing it. Only a matter of time before someone figures it out and posts the fix.
