isnt the 1st month free ? anyways so why are we complaining about it so much we all know that the game has issues and its a brandnew MMORPG so thats exspected anyways.. im just saying its ok to talk about new issues that we find about the game ... but the constant "WERE PAYING TO PLAY THE BETA OMG OMG OMG KILL TASOS KILL AV" just stop its stupid to whine about and even if im wrong and the 1st month is not freee ... they already compensated a few days for delays and account issues so im sure they will compensate more to make everyone happy ... so everyone just take a big chill and relax and stop taking it so seriously ........ and another thing i am deffiantly in favor of a server wipe because of the exploits its not fair that more organized clans on day 1 already have their citys and everything set up because of inactive mobs .. anyone else in favor of that ?

Yeah I'm not deciding anything until I actually have to pick a subscription payment.
The engine comes free when you buy an automobile, but I would still complain if the engine was broken..

Its funny how people who hate Darkfall spend so much time talking about Darkfall.
I guess being a fat troll means having no friends, no girls, and nothing better to do than spew hate on internet forums..

You can't really relate an engine because you only pay for the engine itself when it's broken. Not monthly payments to keep it.

Well when you pay $50 I don't think you should have to wait a month for the product to be usable.
you paid 50+$ for the game that includes a 30 day subscription. so basicly if the reg sub is 15$ a month you payed 35$ for the game.
The game is NOT in beta. it was officially released on the 25th but delayed to the 26th.
If people are complaining is because they payed for a product what was announced as complete and in better conditions that many mmorpgs out there.
however due to what is occuring currently that is not the case.
Darkfall was not ready.
you ARE playing the Retail version of the game.

Retail is open to EVERYONE. This is simply a limited pre-order beta type like other MMOs did.
Thing is the first month is free yes, but people who pay for something still expect the product they ordered to be working. When it comes to MMO's nothing is worse for them then a launch where people feel cheated. Look at AoC and how people react to that game. you will see trolls and haters spewing crap daily about it. and same will happen here too.
AV doesn't make it any better when it seems to be a lack of communication from them either.

Then don't buy an MMO at release when the vast majority of beta testers were saying that the release was going to be a bumpy ride.

Seriously, i see this in almost every MMO. Game is released, everyone rushes to buy it, it is buggy, some players whine and complain that they bought a buggy product.
Don't people learn? If buggy content bothers them don't buy online games at release, especialy not MMOs. Sure SOME avoid this pitfall, I am sure (I don't know which ones, honestly tho) but it is a HIGH probability that it is going to be buggy.
You don't want bugs? Fine and I can't blame you. But wait for a few months to allow it to become stable or fail. It is quite a simple solution to a common dilema.
It's not that there are bugs, that would be fine, it's that they have proven to be completely incompetent with managing the most basic aspects of running an MMO. You can't buy the game. You can't access their forums. You can't access their IRC. Their web site hasn't been updated in months. Their web site doesn't even make it clear that the game has launched. Unless you managed to get your pre-order processed, we can't even tell if servers exist or how many there are.
They should have a whole PR team and web site management team and a billing team at this point. They should have perfected their billing system long ago. I've been following the game and giving them the benefit of the doubt since 2003. It's easy to accept the argument that they're a small team and need to focus all their energy on the game instead of doing interviews or posting web site updates when the game is a year or two away from being released, but not two days after release. I played a very stable beta of the game for over a month and they've managed to completely destroy any faith I had in them in this one enormous screw up. I enjoyed the beta but there is no way in hell I will purchase this game.
Even the worst MMOs ever made were capable of selling their own damn game. How do you screw that up?
I bought the game along with a lot of people in my guild. They were very clear it was going to be a limited release. Accessing the forums is NOT a basic part of running an MMO, although I agree it is something they SHOULD do.
They don't care about bringing in new people now. THEY DON'T WANT THEM. They have said a number of times that they want to start small and build up. They don't want to make the same mistakes that a number of other recent MMOs have made and that is release enough servers to support everyone who wants to play at launch and only be forced to scaled back the number of servers and force mergers/movement as people realize that the game is not for them.
They don't need a PR team at this time. The demand for the game far exceeds the supply. Why waste limited resources on a group of people that are meant to drum up support from the game when they want LESS support for the game at this point?
The game is NOT a year or two from release. It is buggy and needs some work, but it was pretty solid during beta. Much more solid than other games I have beta tested.
If you don't want to purchase the game, fine, don't. But, honestly, this just sounds like sour grapes because you weren't able to buy the game.
