i have the same question... how does this works.. im new in atlantica... can someone help us?
B asically the game mechanics for a mentor is that as you level they get "mentor points" which currently can't be used but is assumed to be for items later on. They will remain your mentor until level 30 at which point you are "grown up" and the mentor will recieve 200'000 gold.
The intent (and if you have a good mentor) is for the mentor to help you out with information and possibly gear/quests to. If you don't like your mentor just fire him/her.
i got my brother as my mentor and he promised me to give my 200grand when i reach level 30! i hope he would give it to me!
sure is good to have an aprentis and being a mentor is a good thing.. having mentor points + 200k gold... nice!
but be careful on whom you choose to be a mentor.. cause there are scammers in the game saying they would give a part or the whole 200k but you will never receive anything.. be wise.. choose someone who you already know or a fellow guild member... ^^;

It's strange, somehow unknowingly acquired an apprentice. I really have no idea how it happened.
But what I find is funny, I'm 71st level, my mentor is 48, and my apprentice is 92.

it seems that it is reverse situation.. to me a mentor you got to be atleast level 30+... an apprentice is below level 30.. that's how it works...

you can be mentor when you reach level 30... yeah its important to have mentor points you can exchange this points to npc pointry this points will be exchange for an item...
You have a choice to choose your mentor and definitley fire him if you don't want..
Like it's real meaning, the mentor will guide you all through out the game, he can assist you for quest and other inquiruies that you want to ask...
Like what they have said mentor can gain points as you level and when you reach 30 that the time that they were given 200k. It's a good reward for all mentors helping us.. of course we must pay them...But the most important is you can learn from them..

+1 to that... that is true mentors guide us troughout the game.. when you think you can handle the situation alone then you can fire your mentor and find your own aprentice... hehehe..

It's crazy how fast he leveled up. I was I think 51 when he became my apprentice and he was 13. Within a week he had passed me.
My mentor, OTOH, was 31 when I became his apprentice, and I was 29.
He's now up to 68 and I'm to 78 (somehow he gained 10 levels in a minute, he was 58 two nights ago, then I got a stream of messagings saying he had leveled up. Some cash shop item? I dunno...)

i also mentor one newbie my apprentice is 13 but now its 54 is that some kind of addict or being an apprentice gives you extra exp points?
