Tasos did, he said so, multiple times.  Remember?  Its been release ready for a while now!

Guess thats why its still in closed beta.

"rock solid and stable client" come to mind.......

Absolute fucking moron with completely unrealistic expectations come to mind?

Nice thread.. I agree with everything you've said.

I'm still surprised at the amount of people that JUST realized that not everyone will be able to play day one... not everyone will get a pre-order... It's been talked about for months now and any common sense will lead you to concluding that 300,000 people will not be able to fit on a 10,000 player server.

This is Aventurine's first project. Of course it's going to be rocky. People that compare this game's launch to AoC are just complete retards. AoC failed because they hyped the game up to what looked like it literally descended from the heavens, then failed to make necessary changes to the game. They had ALL the money in the world and ALL the manpower in the world to make AoC what they wanted. However, they failed to do it.

Aventurine has none of these luxuries, and it's amazing how many people don't realize this. Even though everyone hates the big companies like EA, Blizzard and Funcom, they expect the Indie games to be handled like the big companies handle their games. It doesn't work that way. If you ever want a change in the MMO market, or any market for that matter, you gotta stick with that new idea no matter WHAT the idea goes through. Otherwise its a lost cause.

The same people that complain about WoW and themepark MMOs are the same people that jump off the Darkfall ship first and don't give anything another try. Get it through your thick heads people. Aventurine isn't a big company. They can't do everything and anything you ask of them. The sooner you realize this, the sooner the sandbox genre will come alive again.

I don't care if you quit now, but just remember that it takes no effort to look into this game later. I know it can be frustrating at times because you want in. I can't get in because apparently my CC is not 16 digits long. But I'm still here because I know in the end Aventurine is going to stabilize the game and make it worth every penny. It takes no effort to check on this game every few days. Are you seriously about to quit Darkfall before you even get a chance to try it?

The indie excuse is the most pathetic of them all. When you pay full price for a product, you should not have to analyze the size/experience of the company who made it.

What is it with all you first time posters who simply MUST make a new thread, spreading your allmighty "wisdom"?

This attitude is exactly my problem. You know its created by 24 people right up front before you purchased it correct? In any way did you spend the money thinking 24 people would launch this game flawlessly knowing that much larger companies can't even pull that off. This is exactly my point, that you feel entitled to some awesome launch experience. What you are entitled to is doing a little research and maybe a little thought about the fact that your unwilling to put any work in or put up with any downtime. Once again if you couldn't see this coming maybe losing a few bucks is the least of your problems.

Name one, yes just ONE, other product where you pay full price, and where you accept less quality because the company who made it is a small one.

Morons like you are ruining the MMO industry. You're basically telling companies they can get away with anything. You're the reason why crappy releases happens over and over again.

Btw, I didn't buy DF so I haven't risked or lost any money. I never buy MMOs on release day, personally I think that's a very stupid thing to do, for obvious reasons.
