I want to play the game.. so yea I'd like to give them a chance to recover from this debacle.

  • ozman1213ozman1213 Member UncommonPosts: 15

You mean the game a disaster or the pre-orders?

    For all who didn't know....

Its Aventurine and disaster.   Not aimed at you in particular OP but  It really doesn't matter if you are going to spell words wrong but if you are going to post on these forums bashing Aventurine over and over, you'd think people would actually learn their real name by now.

fine so il edit the title

ya this is a hicup....and lets say it take a month or two to get things running smoothly....which then leaves open YEARS of gameplay open to those of us that have been waiting for somehting like this. the beauty of this type of gme is that it's designed for a specific audience.  if the game is great and feeds that audience...then all this "launch disaster" drama will fall by the wayside.

If anything my trust has improved - this launch has at the very least dispelled the "vapour" rumors.

At least we know that there really is a game and it really is being released.

I think they treat their customers like crap - which is why I'm waiting until this all settles down before maybe buying the game - but at least there is a game..

Its funny how people who hate Darkfall spend so much time talking about Darkfall.

I guess being a fat troll means having no friends, no girls, and nothing better to do than spew hate on internet forums..

I think the release has already happened, and not in a good way.

    Miracle elixir

That's what did the trick, sir,

    True, sir, true.

    Was it quick, sir?

Did it in a tick, sir,

    Just like an elixir

    Ought to do!

"The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar, our only goal will be the western shore."

I never trusted them before Christmas.. my only comfort in this madness is I did not pay a single penny.

I would seriously worry about CC details for the people that have entered them.

AV is a bunch of lazy/slow devs. I still want to play the game, because there#s nothing else like this except UO. I wish Blizzard would buy this project from them.

I dont trust them, they never did anything in the past to prove that they can be trusted and so far 2 days after launch it's the same thing.   I hope they pull this out and make this game a success, but i would'nt hold my breath if i was you.

    Denial at its best.

For one, I don't think its a disaster by any means.   It will be some time before you can really call it that.   The situation was far from optimal that's for sure but it definitely wasn't a disaster.   You can't call no rain for two days straight in Seattle a drought either.

I trust them enough and their game enough to have paid 50 dollars for it.   I also enjoyed playing in beta and on the first day.    I guess that sums up my feelings on it.

I think ALOT of people would call this "One of the Worst Launches" in MMO history.  That, to me, is a disaster.

When the "limited" amount of players cannot log in it shows they simply were not ready. I don't know what else you want to call a disaster, the leevies in LA weren't ready for the huge amount of water and thus failed causing massive flooding...same thing here, and it was a disaster in both cases. So yes, it was most assuredly a disaster and the only ones denying it are die-hard fans an/or ignorant.

Sad to see people resorting to attacking eachother.

ill be a nice guy and report all of you XD

No seriously there is no need to do personal attacks.

The op didnt even respond to the personal attacks directed to him which makes him more mature than those who resorted on doing so.

Watching Fanbois drop their soap in a prison full of desperate men.

    you know what?

I actually voted yes in my poll  - cause id like to see the game work too

i posted the poll and mentioned disaster in reference to the launch because be honest everyone - it was a total disaster PR wise.

I reckon they will fix the situation in good time and get the game up and running and itl settle down in the weeks to come.

All this post was intended to be was a poll for the community to express how they felt about the launch and why, its like a radio show where people phone in to give their views.

as for the shitty spelling - i have bought a new keyboard and im still getting used to it

I saw one person doing personal insults in this topic, so I hope you get ALL of them...causing missing one is gonna be kinda hard. I hope these forums ban people for mis-using the mod/report tool like others do.

Accept for in this case, we lost a few days of gaming. Which they made up for by adding on 3 more free days. So your compairing the loss of 3 days of gaming, which were refunded lol, to a levy breaking and causing massive flooding.

    Wow..........................

Ok so lets look at whats happened so far in those 3 days added on

the game is still down apart from a few hours worth of bugged game time

thats what ive heard and read anyway

if im incorrect then i hold my hands up  - but from what i can see they have taken peoples money  - offered a bonus of 3 days to say sorry and then taken the servers back down again after a few hours.

    hardly fair is it?

so when the servers do come back up will they calculate the downtime due to bug fixes and add that to the 3 days thats already been depleated by downtime?

    i doubt it

Ok, I'll look at whats happend so far. I was able to log in for one day, played 3 hours straight, had a lot of fun. No issue's accept some of our clan mates were experiencing the out of sync issue, which of course no one in our party was. So for the first day I played had fun, which takes me to day two. Day two, I still haven't had my living room flooded or anything, but I did experience the sync issue, and it was unplayable for the most part. Well ....... it's day 2 so waiting on Day three which is tommorow. I said 3 days of game play loss since it was suppose to launch the 25th but pretty much was an official launch the 26th. So I have played 1 day out of those 3 days and got 3 free days. So as long as servers are up tommorow and I can play looks like I got my dime, and a day. Neat huh.

So since servers went live, I've managed to play for 1 free day. Haven't been able to play the other 2 free days. As long as servers are up tomorrow then looks like I haven't lost a thing and neither has anyone else. Wait till tommorow for the "I got ripped off" type of posts. You know, until it's actually on your dime and not Aventurines.

Then you can start the diseaster spill again, this time you would be able to say you have lost one day of paid gaming and go from there.
