You must know that its by consumers for consumers so in truth whoever wants to post something they will its their singular opinion on something.
Its up to you the reader to choose if you want to believe something like it you will always have two sides of a story with a million different views to the two sides.

Every single piece of news about Darkfall that has ever come out, has always been posted on the FORUMS. Anyone who ever took more than 5 minutes to look at the game knows that. Most MMO companies put their news on their forums, that's where I go when I look for up to date information on other game sites/MMOs. They honestly should update their front page more, on that I fully agree, but I think last we heard they were making a new website (doesn't mean they should't be updating the old one).
And yes, the forums were taken down specifically so people could see the current news for Darkfall. As it was before, there was so much spam and lag that no one could read the news section that Aventurine had up, so the forums had to be closed so they could get their information out. But its cute that trolls are trying to discolor that as them "breaking all ties with community so they don't have to deal with them".

I have a lot of trouble figuring out why people are so adverse to anyone exposing an opinion that they don't share. For example, I don't share your opinion that people shouldn't be able to write ripoffreports for whatever they want, but I don't begrudge you having it.
Readers are familiar with the term "opinion." And, contrary to popular method, they don't appreciate another viewpoint being fisted down their throat. So just give people all the information/opinion/conjecture and let them decide for themselves.
He's echoing however what a lot of people are thinking and saying all over the internet.
The fact their Beta was fairly functional and not so problematic makes me discard the scam claims.
My biggest fear for the game is the fact that the "mainstream" DF fanbois will give up on the product because:
#1. They can't order the game even though it's been "launched"
#2. They can't play the game now because the server isn't up or everything was out of sync.
The fact that Darkfall has developed and marketed their product for a small part of the MMO community already massively reduces their possible subscribership.
If I was Tasos I would have announced that the official LAUNCH would be delayed again and call the 25th launch date an OPEN BETA for preorders for another 30days.

Note, the "Report" was posted in January, on the 28th. That was in the middle of beta, when the game was functioning fine. Therefore, its just a troll post no one cared about.

I agree that people change there mind, but im just saying that alot of these posts get out of hand and consist of very little discussion. For instance the whole debacle earlier in the post where part of the evidence was that the man with the blue name must be a dev, and somehow that is an arguement about it being a scam. I probably worded the last post a bit wrongly. My opinion has changed somewhat and i guess I am just get frustrated with all of the annoying trolls. Ah I see, I admit that I misunderstood the purpose of RipoffReports.com. I didn't realize it could just be compared to a forum post for the most part. However I still feel that a site like that should at least be monitored to some point, otherwise I could just make my own reports every day spouting lies and fake information about basically anything I want (though of course I can do that on forums too, but people immediately realize that forum posts are exactly what they are, not a website about warning consumers about scams that some people will take a lot more seriously [as I did in my haste]).

The title of this post should be changed to "Overzealous idiot submits ripoff report"... There is no basis behind any of the statements in this "report"; he speaks very generally about MMOs and then I.E. Darkfall. It's very clear that Ashton692 has an agenda by even post this crap on these forums. If you want proof that the game exists then please google/youtube Darkfall. It's out there people... I've seen the holy grail and it was good.

Theres a section of the forums called News, Oddly enough it has news in it.............Secondly there are stickies regularly put up with even more information............... now that the forums are down and have been down, when you try to readh them a bulletine pops up............
Sure you check one part of the site, your going to find very little info......... Try using the rest of the site, oddly enough........... it's full of all kinds of info about DF OO! Some even from the Devs OMG!

I think that is the point he was making. A link from the Front of the Official Web Site that is labeled News... it is even still working. Yet, the last post on it is from Jan. 22nd.
I'm thinking anyone would have to admit that seems a bit odd to not even use the News section of your web-site that is still functioning... right?

For whatever reason seems to be the one that they want to use now. Even though the forums are not working, and they are just posting "News" items... the type of items you would expect to find in the Link labeled... NEWS.

Every single piece of news about Darkfall that has ever come out, has always been posted on the FORUMS. Anyone who ever took more than 5 minutes to look at the game knows that. Most MMO companies put their news on their forums, that's where I go when I look for up to date information on other game sites/MMOs. They honestly should update their front page more, on that I fully agree, but I think last we heard they were making a new website (doesn't mean they should't be updating the old one).
And yes, the forums were taken down specifically so people could see the current news for Darkfall. As it was before, there was so much spam and lag that no one could read the news section that Aventurine had up, so the forums had to be closed so they could get their information out. But its cute that trolls are trying to discolor that as them "breaking all ties with community so they don't have to deal with them".

I have a lot of trouble figuring out why people are so adverse to anyone exposing an opinion that they don't share. For example, I don't share your opinion that people shouldn't be able to write ripoffreports for whatever they want, but I don't begrudge you having it.
Readers are familiar with the term "opinion." And, contrary to popular method, they don't appreciate another viewpoint being fisted down their throat. So just give people all the information/opinion/conjecture and let them decide for themselves.
We don't have to be the thought police.
He's echoing however what a lot of people are thinking and saying all over the internet.
The fact their Beta was fairly functional and not so problematic makes me discard the scam claims.
My biggest fear for the game is the fact that the "mainstream" DF fanbois will give up on the product because:
#1. They can't order the game even though it's been "launched"
#2. They can't play the game now because the server isn't up or everything was out of sync.
The fact that Darkfall has developed and marketed their product for a small part of the MMO community already massively reduces their possible subscribership.
If I was Tasos I would have announced that the official LAUNCH would be delayed again and call the 25th launch date an OPEN BETA for preorders for another 30days.
Note, the "Report" was posted in January, on the 28th. That was in the middle of beta, when the game was functioning fine. Therefore, its just a troll post no one cared about.

Your post is valid in a world where no one ever changes their mind. I for one have tweaked mine, and swayed more towards favoring Aventurine in the past 24 hours...
My point isnt that discussion is terrible, but that this kind of post is getting out of hand. I agree that people change there mind, but im just saying that alot of these posts get out of hand and consist of very little discussion. For instance the whole debacle earlier in the post where part of the evidence was that the man with the blue name must be a dev, and somehow that is an arguement about it being a scam. I probably worded the last post a bit wrongly. My opinion has changed somewhat and i guess I am just get frustrated with all of the annoying trolls. Then again complaining about trolls doesn't help any.

20.000 times $50 dollars is a whopping $1.000.000 . Not bad to earn in a couple days (if they are getting the billing right that is).
And they have at least another 20.000 sheep in the pocket waiting to throw their $50 dollars at them the moment they manage to put the shop back online. Another whopping $1.000.000 right on their laps.

I agree that there is a lot of fluff in the discussions, but I will take lots of fluff over censorship anyday. Also, one mans fluff is another mans ... non-fluff?
Anyways, I thought that the points about Sigmund being (somehow) related to the official Darkfall community was a vrey important piece of information to bring up. Makes me wonder how saturated these forums are with people who have an agenda beyond just being a (over zealous) MMO gamer.

Ah I see, I admit that I misunderstood the purpose of RipoffReports.com. I didn't realize it could just be compared to a forum post for the most part. However I still feel that a site like that should at least be monitored to some point, otherwise I could just make my own reports every day spouting lies and fake information about basically anything I want (though of course I can do that on forums too, but people immediately realize that forum posts are exactly what they are, not a website about warning consumers about scams that some people will take a lot more seriously [as I did in my haste]).
Sometime I really wonder what people are thinking. Fanbois and haters keep pressure to it's highest, Aventurine is force to do an early release, and people are suprised that it's a failure. That's like telling a truck driver to do it in half what he can do, and say WTF HAPPENED TO THE MERCHANDISE?!?!?!?

The title of this post should be changed to "Overzealous idiot submits ripoff report"... There is no basis behind any of the statements in this "report"; he speaks very generally about MMOs and then I.E. Darkfall. It's very clear that Ashton692 has an agenda by even post this crap on these forums. If you want proof that the game exists then please google/youtube Darkfall. It's out there people... I've seen the holy grail and it was good.
