If this is a deep rooted problem in their engine, this fix could even take a few weeks to implement.

I can't believe they didn't stress thest this game. This game had potential!

 

Here, I am turning in my Fanboi badge, I don't need it anymore. I am going to go and be a fanboi for mortal online now. Unless of course the game comes up this weekend.

    Agreed.  This seems like a pretty major issue to me.  It's not like tweaking the damage on one spell or correcting a single line of code.  This could be a big deal. 

     

    Maybe we should lay off the F5 and go do something else for a while....Haha....

     

    They aren't going to bring the forum back up for a while because they know the forum will just be flooded with people bitching.  I think they are keeping it down on purpose just to avoid the shitstorm of pissed off people.

    auto assault had de-sync issues when it came to PVP(PVE was not an issue). people accusing each other of hacking all the time. as far as i know they never did fix it(someone there at the end please correct me if im wrong). that isnt why AA went belly up but not being able to PVP properly sure didnt help the situation.

    Which, in my opinion, is a bad idea.  Bring the forums back up and let people vent.  It would allow some people to get things off their chest and feel they accomplished something.  It may appease the already aggravated playerbase a bit.

    I only wish the forums were up because I need to try communicating with some people via PM. I still have members who haven't signed up for our website, and others that are basically inactive on it.

    They do need to talk to the players regardless of there mood at the moment.

    They had sync issues for a little while in beta. They fixed it quickly. Please calm the fuck down. Its nothing with their engine, why do people pull the most illogical shit from thin air?

    Because the sync issues reemerged with launch, causing many problems and exploits.  Just saying..

    I believe people are concerned about the lack of  stress testing. I for one am very dubious of how this game has "launched" in the last few weeks. I do not see the evidence a genuine stress test has been performed. It could very well be a very serious fundamental flaw in the client / server communication.

    As for it only being beta. This is from the DF forum  website right now :

    "We didn’t manage to completely eliminate the sync issue affecting players in the game earlier today. Our real-time monitor alerted us of this as soon as we brought up the server and players started entering the game. We need to take more time to address this. There is no ETA as of yet. We’ll keep you posted on any developments."

    Never thought of it that way.  They are allowing the aggravated playerbase to vent their frustration on different gaming forum, thus garnering even more negative publicity.  Not good.

We're looking into an issue some players are reporting about getting an "account not active" message. Finally we have a handle on the issue that caused us to bring down the server the last time, and we're in the process of fixing it.

     

    Like I said. Its easily fixable.

     

    The game ran flawless in beta. Flawless.

    Don't believe that is the sync issue solved. This is the unable to log into certian areas issues. I highly suspect mobs/Players will rubber band still. We need someone fair to confirm this. Tohugh I doubt we wil find anyone now.

    As for the beta... since stress testing doesn't seem to have been done.. the only difference between now ands then is the scale of people coming into the game. By god this is looking bad.

    What happened in CB has no bearing on the status of the game as it is now. So why bring it up.

    This game is suffering now for no open beta or stress test. According to many testers , some features were turned off to test the other remaining features that were having problems. There is a huge problem with this, Every change they did could have one way or another affected all the features that were turned off. Opon adding them back to the full games I bet some of the changes made a few conflicts with all the changes done.

    These things should have happened in stress tests and in the open beta. they could have had it all ironed out by the time it was released. Why didnt they prospone the release is beyond me.  IMO i would prefer a few people getting angry that the release fell 2 weeks behind than having the angry mob we see today.

    The issue of Sync is not that big of a deal but it dose take time myself being a coder in RL i know exactly what they forgot to add lol. But then again its not me its them they need to find the issue not anyone else. and for the fact that beta ran flawless that is the biggest bunch of horse crap there is most of thease issues were in fact in beta so stop trying to justify there mess ups.

    Common sense dictates that if Aventurine was not prepared to launch because of an "unexpected explosion" of people on their FORUMS, how in the hell could they be prepared to put those people in their game?

    Even with a controlled release they failed. Pathetic really!

    Lol @the above post.

    There were sync issues in beta for a few days the last 4 weeks of it and they nailed it quite quickly. Its seems the sync issues have something to do with their allowance to communicate with their servers aka security.

    The beta most of the time ran smoothly and were quite an awesome experience, this game have tons of potential and even in the state it were in beta its the best game to date.

     

    I totally agree that beta werent run very professional for several reasons. Most things is mention in this thread.

    My conclution so far. Its an amazing game run by incompetent people (customer relation wise). They have done everything wrong.
