Anyways, I thought that the points about Sigmund being (somehow) related to the official Darkfall community was a vrey important piece of information to bring up. Makes me wonder how saturated these forums are with people who have an agenda beyond just being a (over zealous) MMO gamer.

I agree that to a certain defree that the blue names are important information but I don't believe it is neccesarily proof that a scam was going on. The title of this post should be changed to "Overzealous idiot submits ripoff report"... There is no basis behind any of the statements in this "report"; he speaks very generally about MMOs and then I.E. Darkfall. It's very clear that Ashton692 has an agenda by even post this crap on these forums. If you want proof that the game exists then please google/youtube Darkfall. It's out there people... I've seen the holy grail and it was good.

I personally, at this point, (and please quote me, because it is in my initial post) that there is no way Darkfall is a scam. I also fully want Aventurine to succeed. I think that they have put themselves in a very shitty situation. If I could do something to help them out (bring them coffee, lend them a harddrive, etc.) I would do it in a second. However, the one thing I won't do is censor my thoughts, or the thoughts of those people around me.

My opinion of Aventurine softened quite a bit about 12 hours ago when Brannoc (their community manager) came into a non-official IRC chat and faced a fire squad of trolls. That takes brass ones. And he didnt pad the truth.
Was it enough to "win me over" to the ways of the fanboi? no. Was it enough for me to hang in there and not cancel my credit card and transactions? yep.
So, before you make wild and blind accusations about peoples intentions you might want to realize that the world isn't quite as black and white as Fanboi and Troll

I think its rediculous they kept the server up dispite the bugged mobs, people exploited a lot and now it wont be whiped. What would have been better is if they said we are keeping the server up to get more data but after this the server will be whiped. They just keep making mistake after mistake and they are accountable for it.
As I said, the devs actions make this game appear worse than it is. This will be the thing they dont recover from, if it doesnt change, not in game bugs.

lol this is just plain silly. Most of the people who preordered were beta testers and we more than informed of what would be in the game. The problem arises from dumb asses not using their search function.
I think that is the point he was making. A link from the Front of the Official Web Site that is labeled News... it is even still working. Yet, the last post on it is from Jan. 22nd.

Every single piece of news about Darkfall that has ever come out, has always been posted on the FORUMS. Anyone who ever took more than 5 minutes to look at the game knows that. Most MMO companies put their news on their forums, that's where I go when I look for up to date information on other game sites/MMOs. They honestly should update their front page more, on that I fully agree, but I think last we heard they were making a new website (doesn't mean they should't be updating the old one).
And yes, the forums were taken down specifically so people could see the current news for Darkfall. As it was before, there was so much spam and lag that no one could read the news section that Aventurine had up, so the forums had to be closed so they could get their information out. But its cute that trolls are trying to discolor that as them "breaking all ties with community so they don't have to deal with them".

As you can see there is an anouncement of a longer downtime for the game. its visible when you click the link. you dont have to go to the fourms to see that.

see that very visible news box when you click on the link. see how it announces everything the devs need to inform their playerbase. also this info is a need for those who want to start to play that game. They do not hide their news in the forums.

The news section is old no new info making the game itself look like it never hit retail. So lets say i click on the froums.

Indie companys is short for INDEPENDANT companies. that means they are capable of creating, producing,and publishing their own products on their own without the need of outside help like a Big publisher.
