Some still think this is not Beta?
Some still obviously think DF launched and AV's latest forum Bulletin proves otherwise. This kind of crud is Beta issues and should of been handled a long time ago. If they didn't see these issues coming before they launched then that also proves their idiocy.
No company in their right mind launches a game with these kinds of problems. I want the game to suceed but they need to admit their real problem and announce DF going back into Beta officially and stop trying to charge people for half-baked crud.

We've solved the problem some players in human areas were experiencing not being able to log back in after a crash. We're looking into an issue some players are reporting about getting an "account not active" message. Finally we have a handle on the issue that caused us to bring down the server the last time, and we're in the process of fixing it.

We didn’t manage to completely eliminate the sync issue affecting players in the game earlier today. Our real-time monitor alerted us of this as soon as we brought up the server and players started entering the game. We need to take more time to address this. There is no ETA as of yet. We’ll keep you posted on any developments."

Definition of Beta from Wikipedia:

No, it is not beta. Beta is the testing phase before release, they have released, therefore, left beta.
Now is the game stable and bug free? I don't know, I just got my account approved and the servers are down.

I didn't even read what you said because Wikipedia is NOT FACT!!!! You are probably correct but copy/paste from Wilkipedia is not fact its 50/50.
Played: Shadowbane, UO, PlanetSide, SWG, EQ 2, City of Heros, AO, AoC, Daoc, WOW, lotro, Eve, GW, Tabula, Pirates of the burning sea (yup), Vanguard, Warhammer, Lineage 2
Out of all those I loved Shadow Bane, SWG (it had its issues but those first few months were great) and AO after about 5 months I was in love) RIP..not since then have I loved a MMO...

Aventurine needs capital now. The game already had a large enough following and most of those players were perfectly willing to p2p the game even when it was in its alpha stages. I know i would have, given the fact that 99.9% of all MMO's suck ballsack right now and are basically WoW-clones.
When you combine this with a struggling world economy and dwindling faith of their previous investors, i think u can see why they are doing what they are doing. They simply do not have the resources to open the flood gates to every single person that wants to play. They also do not want to sell the game off a company like SOE or EA only to see the game get chopped to pieces and watch 8+ years of work go down the shitter.

Wiki didn't have a reference other than www.tidbits.com/tb-issues/TidBITS-328.html#lnk5 and I couldn't find a better definition.
If you can find something more reputable, I'd be more than happy to accept it, as I usual only use wiki to point me to their references.

Its easy to find the definition of beta. Just ask any rabid blind fanboy that swear their soul to the devil that this game is still in beta. they will gladly give you their definition of beta. Oh and their definition is absolute.

I wish it was still in beta... then I'd still be playing it.
Seriously, the weeks I got to play beta are probably the best I've had in an mmo (heck, on a computer game at all) since the earliest days of Ultima Online. Even with the learning curve it took to get over the odd UI and the thirty-some odd times I got killed by reds while trying to farm goblins, I had a blast. It's a shame they sold out (since when is a sold out game a failure). I can't wait until there are more copies to buy. I will get in next time! HA HA HA!
These issues didn't crop up in beta. Should they have had a prophet there with them to tell them it would happen?

Its like saying, Well we have 50,000 of X product, but our trucks can only ship out 10,000 at a time, so we have to send out the trucks and wait for them to come back before we can sell the next 10,000
Hm, youre statements seem to contradict eachother. You should learn that there is a difference between a game BEING in beta and PLAYING like a beta. AoC played like a beta for the first week or so and nobody made posts like this, because the masses didnt want that game to fail.
The game is released, although it was a shitty release. Havent you been around for any other MMORPG releases though? They are always catostrophic for the first day or two. This just might be a little on the worse end of the spectrum.

It's the load that causes stuff like this , if they didn't test the server for 10k users which was theyr supposed limit they just have no idea. I guess that 10k limit they was talking about was just taken out of the air because they clearly didnt test it.
for the developers out there , scaling things can be tough shit , sometimes getting 10 times as much traffic might generate load way way above 10 times because of bugs/leaks which might grow exponentially.( so testing with 1k users doesnt mean that 10k users will work out with 10 times the hardware )

Like the other guy said, try not copy/pasting from wikipedia and expect to be taken seriously, genius. One, the game is beyong poor right now and 2) it isnt released officially obviously because their main page doesnt even advert it for starters, lol. *Gasp*! It still says Beta, hrmm
I had a post earlier today about how id rather pay for beta testing this game than play another WoW clone borefest. So yeah great im in brtand paying and had more than while it was working then i have had in years in any mmo. So....

Game is in beta, but they needed to release to get some money and pay their bills. This is obvious to anyone using reason.
Of course that rules out the fantatics.
Since everyone knew that the game was coming out before it was completely ready (the complaints would have been just as loud), you shouldn't expect it to be perfect. There is a simple solution. Don't pay that money and get taken. wait for it to go through its growing pains.
I really have to laugh at all of the ppl that seem shocked by this. Its been on all the forums for some time now. If you can't handle it don't. move on to something... get on with your life. Me, I am anxiously awaiting the game. I've played most major MMO starts, and guess what??? yep, most were down more than they were up for the first week.

You know what? I digress, you win. Your denial of obvious truths has converted me to your side. It has become quiet clear to me now through your revelations that ignoring the actual content of what one posts, calling them a genius, spelling every other word of your reply wrong, being a complete and utter smartass and not actually saying anything at all are a good way to prove a point as compared to logical, defendable statements.
It is obvious to me now that looking at www.darkfallonline.com, which has a solid history of not being updated, is the best place to get definitive, up to the minute information.
