...You must have me confused with someone else. I was one of the people who had their preorder screwed up. I was pretty miffed about that (it's straightened away now) but beyond that I've been following the game since December (not very long) and have been very excited for its release.
You didn't have to exploit to claim a city. My guild did it without hunting on the easy broken mobs. Its not that hard for a guild to earn 12k legit in the time the server was up if they know what they are doing. Blood claimed a city as well btw.
I don't believe the Mercs got a city. Their leader had posted a huge whine fest on another board claiming how much gold they earned which fell way short of the mark needed. The Mercs strong point is fighting, not thinking.
Are you in a guild? Is it a whiner's guild who likes to make stuff up to help them feel better for their own shortcomings? That's my experience with most cheating claims. 99/100 of them are totally unfounded and made by people who can't hack it. FACT
Joining them is a better choice unless you move to 2nd server. Exploit the mobs when server is up assuming no fix to it or wipe , keeping all the loots by exploting , saving up the loots not creating clan but instead to join the "cheater's clan" is a good choice imo.

They might be nice ppl, but their actions are disgusting. ... And Aventurine is doing nothing about it. Brannoc said he was not aware of any exploiting. Well, he is clearly misinformed.

nah, if you could hack it you wouldn't be making stuff up out of thin air. You said all the guilds that got a city are cheaters and that's not the case and I know this as fact.
5 people could get a city by themselves without exploiting at all just killing monsters that are easy to kill and dont have people there to make killing monsters with the sync error harder.
I killed around.. 4-5 goblins and LOADS of other monsters.. goblins I could hardly kill because everyone was luring goblins away which made it impossible to figure out where the goblins really were.. When no one was by me I could earn money pretty good by killing other monsters..

alot of these guilds have been in beta for months formulating plans, getting organised.
they know where the high gold drop mobs are and will go there.
its not all cheating... stop being sore losers.

No clan in the DUSK alliance cheated in anyway way to get their cities.
I hope all citys are claimed soon, it makes it much easier to find a good one to take over.

This is what annoys me about Beta "Tests".
They should have been investing that same energy helping the Devs make a better game.
