I was not intending to buy this game
But after all this I will defintely check it out when/if NA servers come up. For there to be this much activity in the forum suggests its worth playing even with allt he crap that launch appears to be. Usually I am not so succeptible to reverse pshycology, but fuk.

Just play on europe server.. you can transfer your char when NA versoin launches thats what me and lots others are doing..
And yeah there are problems right now but the game is good..
Thanks to all of this forum spam, 5 of my friends intend to buy this game. And so will I.
The concept of the game is not for everyone, but Darkfall does follow this concept very well, so you don't have to worry about that. It's quite fun, and as soon as they fix the bugs and polish it up a little, it will easily surpass any MMORPG currently on the market, or ever created.
When they introduce houses, it will easily rival old school UO.
Do you really think the haters care if you or your friends will now buy the game? I think not. They are pretty content with the fact they avoided a lemon. What you spend your money on is your business. Gloating about paying to beta test a game doesn't really make THEM look like idiots if you know what i mean
IF they manage to fix the sync issue it will be interesting to see how advanced PVP plays out. As there are apparently quite a number of advanced "effects" further up the skill trees. To me this is the real meat of the game. IF in fact it is shallow then what you see now in the vids is pretty much what your going to see period. IF in fact there is REAL depth to the skill trees it should be pretty interesting. They cut quite a bit of content from the game, so im hoping this is the real rock the game can stand on. But...that remains to be seen.
Um hey bud, heres a tip for you. Alot of people who are sceptical about DF being able to deliver are not "haters". But I assume you are one of darkstars midget attack chipmunks so I will cut you a pass. After all once infected its hopeless.

its annoying how people who were never following this game at all and weren't in beta act like they know everything.
There were severe sync issues in beta, all of which were fixed in beta, no reason to see why it can't happen after launch. And this is obviously not the game for you if the meat of the game is advanced "effects" in the skill trees.... (in magic there is, there are only a grand total of 4 melee active skills you can buy from vendors (this is assuming there are no hidden vendors like the devs hinted at, and there may), and there are ZERO active skills you can buy for archery(there are some passive ones though), which is fine by me, I would prefer archery to have some skills, but its fine as it is now, since it takes a lot of skill to aim the bow correctly. Any way, to the point, this game is definately not for you)

Further the premise of the game being based on skills as opposed to levels invites the conclusion, oh by the way darlin, reinforced by what the devs said about the skill trees. As you advance into, you have access to better attacks, spells, etc further up the tree. DIDNT my inital post make that clear to you or do you need to be helped along?
So you are in effect disputing what the devs themselves said about the nature of the skill trees. Interesting! At any rate it find it annoying toolz like you post asserting you know wtf your talking about. Because you clearly are as uninformed as anyone else.
Oh and you have not the faintest glimmer of a realization what is and isnt for me. But im going to give you a green star for effort!
Good luck with getting a pre-order they have only sold about 10% of what they could have.

Just when I think I've read the stupidest post ever, you go and post another. In future, kindly proofread your posts before assaulting unsuspecting readers of this message board with a litany of misspellings, egregious grammatical errors, and other verbal atrocities.
The fact you put yourself in the same box as the ones i am describing is hilarious. I guess you have foolishly diluted yourself into believing you belong to some kind of community even though you are basically a nobody here. "Haters" is what i was referring to for the reading impaired such as yourself. Yes they do exist. If you don't feel like you or your intellectually challenged friend who agrees with everyting you say belongs in that category, don't feel so targeted by my previous comment.

The sync issues re-emerged, but you were jumping the gun saying that they couldn't be fixed, when they were fixed before. I would say that logic is... well there is no logic in that.
You do have access to more advanced skills as you level up in skills. In magic you have a lot of skills to choose from, but in melee/archery, you don't. For instance, you can only buy active skills in melee once you're level 25 in melee. You can only buy some passive skills in melee once you're 50 in melee, and so on. The same goes for archery, i don't see any contradiction. (and I made a mistake in my last post, ARCHERY has zero active skills, not melee). The skill progression in archery and melee is pretty lame and linear, and you will be horrendously dissapointed if this was the "meat" of the game for you.
And If it counts for anything in your hateful world, I am by no means positive right now on DF, there are leagues of problems, the game wasn't meant to be released but the devs ran out of money. it has amazing potential but right now its a closed beta test. Why are you negative on the game? Because everyone else is?

The game has been so poorly released I still wouldn't know how to buy the game even if I wanted to. Their website is still advertising Beta invitations, the forums are down....it doesn't really fill me with confience that the actualy game is up to anything despite the rabid fanboi's doing an Iraqi information minister impersonation.
I wouldn't mind taking a look but seeing as I can't find any information on how to do so I guess I will have to sit back and laugh about it.

I know that none of us are perfect, however, you should probably correct the spelling of the word highlighted in orange before someone points it out. We have to pay particular attention to our spelling and grammar in posts that elude to someone else having less intellectual prowess, you know?
Hint: The word you meant to use is "deluded." I'm guessing that you likely already realize this, and my post is all in fun.
Your first paragraph is absolutely beautiful, by the way. "Egregious grammatical errors and verbal atrocities" are what forum posting and reading are all about. That's what makes the reading so much fun! It's like a puzzle!
