What I'm saying is you don't have a graphics card at all. What you have is an integrated chip on the motherboard that handles graphics and shares (steals) from your RAM.

You can put in a graphics card, but without your full system specs I couldn't tell you what to expect. If you could post the following:

    RAM

    CPU

    Power Supply

    Operating System

    Ram is 1014MB

Operating system is Windows Vista  Home Basic(6.0 build)

The other stuff i dont know how to get?

Incase I missed it, are you on a PC or a Laptop?

If you are on a PC you will need to know what graphics slot you currently have (AGP or PCIe - should be listed in the paperwork that came with your machine) You dont want to buy the wrong card because it wont work.

If you have a laptop, well... gonna need to get a new one or build a desktop system.

For the CPU, right click "computer" in the start menu and click properties.  CPU (processor) will be listed on the page that comes up. For the power supply, check your manufacturer's paperwork.

Also, 1014 MB of RAM isn't going to cut it, especially with Vista, you will probably want to up it to 2.5 GB of RAM and get a 512 MB video card.

I don't know why you don't just run a simple dxdiag and get all the answers, it takes maybe 20 seconds.

Have to agree with Paragus here.

You can pickup an 8800GT 512 card (PCIe) for around $180 and its a really nice card for the price.

Wife runs an 8800gt and plays all with great settings, was under 200 bucks

Is there a model number to go with the CPU?

Also, RAM has nothing to do with free space.

You have your hard drives, often mistakenly referred to as memory, which is another animal. Your hard drives store all your files.

Your RAM (random access MEMORY) are long chips that are inserted in the motherboard that act as a temporary storage space for commonly accessed files. What happens when you boot windows is it loads files that it may need into your RAM for quicker access than you would receive on your hard drive due to transfer speeds and seek times. Now that all of that goodness is loaded in your RAM from windows and you boot a game or other program it loads all its goodness in there as well. Vista likes to cram a lot of goodness into your RAM, so to leave room for other programs (games) you would need to purchase more RAM.

Now I suggested a total of 2.5GB and a 512MB card because 32 bit operating systems only address 3GB of memory.

Ok, ignore everything else. Here's the short version.

You want an EVGA 8800GT and an extra 1GB stick of RAM.

    "Memory: 1014MB RAM"

You have Vista, you definately need minimum one more gig pof RAM, 4 total would be nice, but 2 minimum.

I have vista 64 bit and 6 GB RAM, overkill, but ready for the future.

You asked for PC advice. Talking about gear and gadgets will always bridge the gap between fans and trolls because no matter what side of the fence we are on, we are all tech geeks!
