How many of you here still have to buy the game?
Hey, just wondering, how many of you are still waiting to purchase the game? I haven't had the chance yet and just wanted an idea of everyone else browsing MMORPG how many still need to get around to buying it. I have my CC information saved and ready to make my purchase in the account section.
I'm personally really disappointed that they won't even accept proper 'Backorders'. I just want my copy reserved for myself and not have to refesh multiple pages all day waiting for something new to happen.
They don't need to wait for backordering, they could start taking them right now so, what's the big problem if the servers have been up that past 3/4/5 hours? Are they too busy in-game watching over everyone?

I have an active account and cannot even play the game due to the volume of players currently on the server. More people would not help me, or the other folks unable to get past the queuing stage. Let them fix the problems with the current customers before they start catering to more people mate.

So moved on and just here watching the drama and how unbelievable that people actually are still begging them to take their money or their parents money..

I wouldn't care about not being able to play until late tonight, just I would prefer to be able to get more sleep knowing they won't release more copies while I'm fast asleep. It's not really fair on the people waiting for a copy to keep them waiting for so long with no ETA.
I tried to get into preorder, but never made it, now I see all this going on, I think I'm going to have to pass. I'm going to look into Mortal Online.
I wouldn't mind giving the game a flogging but they didn't even send me the preorder email even thought I registered. After the problems people are having I might wait a few days before signing on.
There seems to be almost as much negativity around this release as there was around my favourite game Vanguard, which can only be a good thing.
Trust me, Darkfall will be worth it once these server issues and lack of new orders pass by. Everyone is losing patience (that isn't in-game right now) but we just have to wait it out.
I'm at least hopeful I can get my order in today.
I ended up pulling off two accounts.. put em on craig's list though, to turn a good profit. The one guy keeps friggen emailing me about it not working. The accounts are valid though.. Its the game thats a little messed up right now.
So ill be waiting to buy my own copy.

I'm on the same ship but I'm more keen than ever to get my copy. I also thought Vanguard was an amazing game dispite what reviews told me, I had more fun in Vanguard over one month than I had in WoW in my first few months.
i wont care if they say we sell them in a week at this time..... so everyone knows when to buy. but in this situation lots of ppl who cant wait playin or takein a look into game just afraid to miss the next wave of preorders, like the first time when the lag decided who gets a copy or not. than they get mad sittin 24/7 infront of display and watchin same forum msg over n over with perma hittin f5. i think its just better to give a date dosent matter if its a in a week or month. pradon my english
You're exactly right. We need an ETA. Making people waste their days away because you can't decide when to open more orders (which you could have done by now despite bugs) is horrible. Keep our orders to reserve copies, even if they won't be processed until a week later. Stop making us wait.

Sounds like they have every intention of opening up the shop after all the problems with pre-orders have been isolated and resolved. I'm guessing (optimistic, mind) within the next 48 hours.
Have been spamming f5 on the preorder site, alt-tabbing IRC Chat channel and checking the forums. i knew i should've pre-ordered when i had the chance
I'm still hoping to grab my copy before I call it a day and head back to bed. They've gotten over the biggest problems it seems (so far) so this doesn't sound too big a problem. Unless their 'partners' aren't actually working on anything. They should still open the orders up and keep them held for later.
I managed to get a preorder on launch day but have not been a ble to login because of the billing issue. I hear alot of people have had theirs fixed but I haven't heard back from AV since I got my confirmation of purchase email. They just don't respond to support requests generally. I hope they fix it soon.
I'll TRY to buy it because it is like gambling, so many emotions. And after all these months spent following this game and then following its release, it is a must to (pay to) try it.
But honestly, after reading all these comments on forum and after experiencing shitty treatment from Ave, my bet is that I won't stick to it for long. But anyway, I must try it.

I tried to preorder a little, but lacked the inhuman dedication. Good thing i had the chance to try the game in beta and see first-hand that it's a game i really enjoy playing. Now i'll just wait a few weeks for the dust to settle.

This to me, looks like one of the best MMO's I've ever seen. I've been watching all those High Quality and HD YouTube videos over and over. Even though they were Beta footage from before release the game still looks amazing. I have to get this game, and I just wish they would let me already. I have been waiting the last 3/4 days looking over their forums and MMORPG.com's forums for new updates and I'm not normally one to lose all my patience but this is dragging on now.
I'm just really happy they have fixed some horrible problems and are working on other smaller ones. At least they're seemingly doing their best for us.
I still need to get mine, but I'm not even trying while it's still a mad-house.
I mostly want it to see how they handled client design from a technical standpoint, and maybe poke around at the internals. I'll play it a bit, and who knows... might even get into it.
Maybe in a few weeks the price will have dropped too. I'm curious to see how many of these initial purchase people actually sub to the game after the free 30 33.

I've been patiently waiting for preorders even before the beta ones were opened. The link was leaked, just my luck I didn't get the hang of it. When the -- semi-public -- preorders opened I fought all the way through the lag to enter my credit card info and went off to play Thief. I alt-tabbed every 10 mins or so to load the next page and to my surprise I made it to the last one. When I clicked buy I got a payment.auth error, I have no idea why. Since then I wasn't able to correct my credit card info (even though I'm sure nothing was wrong with it and there was money on it) nor purchase again as that day preorders got closed. In the few times the acc page was open I entered in another card and triple checked all the info and have since been waking up early and reading all the forums and msgboards and IRC to see when the HELL are they finally gonna open more preorders, and am just as pissed off waiting as you are as I'd like to not have to constantly pay attention to this fiasco as to not get screwed over again. Sigh.
