players.. where do I have to go in order to actually kill a mob?
Seriously, I like the game.. but the newb areas are so overcamped its impossible to do anything. And if you try, ping will jump from 100 to 10000 in a few secs and you can't do anything. I know that as the game is out longer, the newbie areas will become less active.. but right now I am not enjoying it because I literally am unable to kill much of anything. Where do I need to go?

There are no mobs in DFO. There are zero fights. It's a peaceful game, just like Hello Kity Online, but even better!
Aventurine offices, Greece. Go for the big fat lazy ones first....if there are too many and they zerg you, AltF4...
if you're Alfar you can go kill some mardains, they don't seem like the notice any difference.

There all over the place really. Goblins are not far from any of the start towns. If you accept the start quests from the councellers then the Gob spawns are marked on your map. Trolls aren't that far out either depending on the town you started in. Zombies, aren't very far from starter towns either, nor are the mercians.
When you first start, do the quest and follow the quest lines. That will actually show you where a few decent mob camps are. The rest you have to find by exploring. Dungeons and such are all over the place.
And if you get any keys hold on to them, they open chests that have gold and magic items inside.
One thing to keep in mind though, when you run into a mob you haven't seen or fought before, do NOT run in trying to be rambo lol. Test it first to see if you even do enough damage that you might take it down , also keep an eye on your surroundings. Mobs aren't always alone and they do help each other. Players aren't the only thing to worry about in Agon lol.
stop being lazy and go explore the game. thats what it is for.

I see the camps.. I've been to the camps.. hard to kill anything with 30 other people all trying to kill the 3 mobs that spawn there.. not to mention the lag from all those 30 people.

Only difference when your armourd between a mirdain and alfar is that the alfar is a midget.
Because of the armour you dont see the blue/greyish skin of alfar.

This right here says your either full of it or have a crappy ISP. 60 people around me farming, and I got 0 lag and I'm in the U.S. As far as spawns go, there about 3 gob camps very close to each starter town and many more a bit farther out. You have to explore if you want something other than the newb camps. Not many are going to tell you where they go for the simple fact the longer you guys stay at the newb town refusing to do your own exploration, the longer we get to farm in peace.
Try Sicily instead.
Get a group. Kill players. Much more rewarding than mobs.
The secondary spawns (past goblins) will be controled by groups and clans. If you get a good group going, you can find a nice spawn and chase lone players away from it.
It's a competitive game, get used to it now. You can't really play by yourself, like WoW, where the game takes you by the hand and tells you exactly what to do and when to do it.
Be creative.

Then explain why I did not have that issue and I am playing from the US? We had this problem in beta while in debug mode, but from what ive seen and heard from others this doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone in live. Run a trace, and then file a bug report and add the trace report. If it is something on there end, it could help.
Go explore. There are treasure chests that don't require keys or killing. Get gear and weapons from them. Then you can better kill the mobs in the wild.
This is going to be true for right now. Many clans are in the process of getting there cities claimed and built. Me and my clan found a spawn we liked and had 15 players there telling everyone this is our spawn, leave or die. Some tried to run us off, but merely contributed loot lol. Even had some Alfars come up and donate some gear and money lol.
It's awsome finding a gank squad of an enemy race in your territory, they almost always have a good bit of loot they have collected from other players that for what ever reason there more than happy to "Donate" to you lol.
